Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Of course Ryan’s budget went nowhere. But you need to keep someone there that is at least a proponent of rationality.

A vote withheld from Romney only helps one person...

...the person you vote for.

Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot.

Three cheers and tip of the hat for being a steadfast man of principle.

In Obama's America, being called a bigot, a racist and homophobe is a badge of honor. One of the numerous good things about Free Republic is its defense for traditional Christian values and its stand against political correctness. Likewise, this is one of the few places on the planet where being branded a McCarthyite is a compliment. Is is any wonder that FR remains, after all these years, the only authentic presence on the web for true Conservatives?

Go Jim Go!

,,,and thanks.

“Romney takes a true conservative out of a position of power and sends him to foreign funerals for the next four years.”

It’s not like Ryan went reluctantly...and Romney could have done much worse. If O is upset about him, IMO that’s a good thing.

God bless you for standing firm in support of hard, genuine conservative principles, Jim. You are an honest and undisputed patriot.

To all the huffily indignant and red-faced Mittbot concern trolls and online shills, regularly hopping up and down and screeching like hyper-amphetamined howler monkeys over the unimaginable prospect of committed movement conservatives actually daring NOT to pledge undying fealty to and worship of their anointed CINO du jour:

We are where we are in this great American experiment in God given individual liberty. It’s been under assault for over 70 years, but never to the extent Obama has taken us. As an American, and as a grandfather, I will do everything possible to defeat this dictatorship and elect Romney/Ryan.

God bless FR, and God bless America.

I’m against mormonism and dont particularly care for Romney. I am so Enthusiastic about Ryan.

But no matter what i think of Mitt, I despise Zero and will vote for any Republican nominee before I help Zero get another 4 years by sitting it out or voting for a third party nobody.

At the end, if this keeps up, everyone on here is going to call everyone else a RINO if we dont agree 100%.

I will vote for the Anti-Socialist on November 6th, because a vote for anything else is a vote for Socialism!

Willard was pressured enough to tip right. With Roberts cementing a Socialist Supreme Court, the deck is stacked. It ‘s a crap sammich but it is game over if Soetoro gets more SC picks. To defeat Liberals, the court system is the 2 x 4 attention getter to their faces. Not good odds in Willard but it is the hand that is dealt.

The GOP-E wants us Conservatives to Moderate and Compromise?

Okay

I will compromise and Vote for your Candidate if you Flip that Ticket.

You can still have your Democrat-Lite and we can have President that will roll back expanding Federal Power.

Until you get that through your thick heads though that Romney running the show STILL deflates all the Conservatives around him, you are up a creek without a paddle.

If more conservatives felt like Jim Robinson, we wouldn’t have these frauds and usurpers begging for our adoration and votes.

I was just going to comment on one or two things you said but after reading all of your post Jim I'll just say I concur 1001% with everything you said. The Mormon religion is little more than an organized cult IMO and Romney is very much more closer to the (satanist) Obama in his stated and practiced positions than he is to me and conservatives.

He definitely will not receive my vote. I like Ryan a little but his selection is just way too little and way too late to have any impact on my feelings towards the equally evil one, Mittens Rumney.

Have you checked out ‘12 POTUS candidate Tom Hoefling of America’s Party? IMHO, he’s much better than Virgil Goode, on most issues.

That is a fantastic idea. Rather than waste my vote on NutGoode, whom no one will even remember in five months, I'll waste my vote on some other loser. That way, when Obama gets reelected, I can say I did my part.

Yeah, it helps Romney with a tan. You might know him as Barack Obama.

I’ve been called repeatedly an Obama lover and a troll for stating my opposition to Romney. It seems I’m in good company.

Thanks for your principled stand, Jim.

There isn’t an anti-socialist (POTUS candidate) to choose from on November 6th, so I take it you’ll be staying home.
