Skip to comments.Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson
Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.
But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.
And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.
And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.
That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.
Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.
Sorry Jeff....tales regarding your personal well-being do NOT validate mormonism, and I for one am a little tired of your "poor little me", tale of woe being used to try and blackmail others into being cowed into backing off of presenting mormonism as it actually IS. Your post to colorcountry reeks of an attitude of superiority. You repeatedly fall back on that when challenged about mormonism.
Perhaps it is time for you to understand that neither your "priesthood" in the mormon church NOR your previous FOTY status automatically bestow immunity to criticism on FR, the fawning comments of your coterie of supporters to the contrary.
The use of victimhood to attempt to gain favor is hardly a conservative trait in spite of 150 years of this tactic by the mormon church.
...and what's worse, they are trying to pass it off as CHOCOLATE!
... AND collectively stamping their widdle feetsies on the kitchen linoleum, huffily demanding that everyone else within earshot commence to contentedly gobbling up, right alongside them. ;)
There is no question at all, Romney is easily the most left wing radical candidate ever for the GOP.
Mitt is so far left that he shouldn’t even have reregistered republican in October of 1993, although he still kept up his democrat politics, like fund raising for Planned Parenthood, and campaigning on “Gay” power.
He was more truthful when he was financially supporting, fund raising for, and voting democrat, after he left the GOP, when Reagan was nominated.
Shalom Uri’el! :)
While we Christians have two.
Contrast that with Obama whose staff can’t even name the capital of Israel!
Whatever; I'm back now to fritter MORE of my life away; tilting at the windmills that dot the landscape.
Once God's people only had one and they couldn't keep that.
You needn't do any such thing, if it isn't the normal way for you, hon.
The heraldic logo, directly underneath my family's ancestral coat-of-arms! ;)
Well; it was GOD's fault!!
"Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?
The man said, The woman you put here with me she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.
Colorcountry, in discussions with another Freeper, pinged me and asked me to point to any post that they had made that I deemed an attack or offensive. I did so, sincerely, but also directly. Since that post, colorcountry has contacted me offline and sincerely apologized, which I equally sincerely accepted, and we have resolved the difference and misunderstanding...for the which I have respect and apprciation for colorcoountry.
Given your tone and accusative spirit, sadly, I cannot say the same for you. I have neve mentioned my status as FOTY on these threads...only you and others have done that. I did not seek it, campaign for it, and was not even aware that such a vote or contest even existed until the day I was pinged to a thread here on FR and was informed I had been voted it.
Back then, and now, I credit all the people who worked with me and helped me at Klamath Falls and its Water Crisis in 2001 the summer before the 911 attacks. Many of them right here on FR.
So, you raising that topic is simply a red herring and a straw man. Thanks...but no thanks.
No victimhood, no pity...as I stated on my response to colorcountry. If you are tired of my posts...you have a simple solution. Just do not read them. That is wholly within your power to do.
If you think I will stop witnessing of and for my Savior and what He has done for me through those experiences when I feel moved to do so...then you are sadly mistaken. I shall not.
God bless you in your own life's walk.
As some one who has experienced the call of death (stage 4 caner, really no need for going into detail) and was divinely healed, I found the testimony lovingly presented.
The real question is why has this testimony angered you so.
I see you’ve replied to 3952.
Have you somehow missed the question put to you in 3901?
And for the record, the difference is 51
The first recorded instance of passing the buck?
Man oh man
You sure do talk about yourself a lot and really whiny to boot
I wonder if Churchhill had any thoughts on MORMONism...
One more thing I forgot and I’m sorry. Mr. Resettozero said you would know how to translate something in to Jewish for him that he wants to post to someone on world wide web Free Republic dot com sight when he returns. I wrote it in Spanish first because my short hand in English has been so slow since the mudslide and then I switched it back to English and here it is. “Go do 16 ounces of salt.” I hope I got it right because his talking manner is not like the English I learned from the missionaries. He said he was born a native southern American country boy but he didn’t say which South American country. I’m sorry to bother you and I think that’s all he asked me to do before he left suddenly with that shapely young wife of his. Flourine
Yes, i know you have “2” or “1.” Funny how history keeps repeating itself.
That is why it is important to read the true Word of G-d as given to Moses... the original, often imitated, but still around a lot longer than anything else... The Torah!
So again... Since you still haven’t answered... Do your beliefs match up to the Noahide laws?
Fixed it for you.
Let's not forget President-in-exile Sarah Palin's trip to Israel.
Again, her love of Israel radiates off her.
You hyper purists ....
I guarantee you you will find some moral flaw in the positions and or actions of every single politician according to your standards that would mean we shouldnt vote for anyone.
***That’s a fantastic argument against hyper purists. The only problem is, there are very few hyper purists on FR, if any. It is a straw argument, setting up someone into a position that they don’t hold so that you can argue against it.
You objectively pro-Obama hyperpurists will lead to the death of this once great country.
***Hyperbole. You pro-librul prostitutes will lead to the death of this once great country, starting with killing off conservatism, which is obviously your goal. Otherwise, why are you here rather than converting 0bots to mittbots? Because you intend to sow discord among conservatives on this conservative (NOT REPUBLICAN) website. Your first claim to being a conservative is false. You aint a conservative when you do such things. Obama thanks you for your efforts to sow discord among conservatives on this conservative website.
My personal problem with what you, and the Religion Moderator, are doing is singling out Mormonism for special abuse.
For instance, Mormons are not allowed to have "ecumenical" and "caucus" protections on the Religion Forum. If there are individual Mormons who misbehave they individually should be sanctioned. If others repeat the bad actions, them too. The categorical ban is wrong.
There are other religions that have been called cults such as Christian Science, Jehovah's Witnesses,Worldwide Church of God,Unity School of Christianity or Scientology that do not have to take the constant assault you allow on MormonISM.
Let me tell you the distinction between attacking Mormons or MormonISM is specious. Mormons will take this personally, and should. Only people with a grudge would crusade like this. Hate has a smell anyone can recognize. That you allow it is all the worse.
We went over this many times on Abuse Report pages over a long time. Mormons are generally peaceful and socially Conservative who don't deserve this abuse. I won't be a part of it.
Quote: “IMHO, your latest post is wholly undeserving of a reply”
religion spawning from another, and people getting angry over new books written as an appendage or replacement for the original texts...
***In the mormon case, it’s a religion based upon lies against christianity. In the christian case, would you say it’s based upon lies against judaism? If so, where is the lie?
Go smite yourself.
The biggest threat to you is currently occupying the White House.
For instance, Mormons are not allowed to have “ecumenical” and “caucus” protections on the Religion Forum.
***because they abused it, per the religion moderator.
And I’ve stated my reason many times why I will not stop Christians from criticizing Joe Smith and his works of fiction.
Oh, that was friendly. /s
As I have posted on this thread, you are in denial. You’re ignoring the facts on the ground, such as the FACT that Jesus was put to death for claiming equality with God. Even his enemies acknowledged the claim. The mormons deny that Jesus is God Himself, and you drive straight up this schism to claim victimhood for such a cult. Then you deflect questions about your own faith and go out of your way to misread posts so you can cause trouble. Your purpose here on this thread is to sow discord. Obama thanks you for your efforts at sowing discord among conservatives on this conservative website.
So happy you have been healed...stage 2 here, in remission as of 7/2010. Praise God and may he continue to bless you.
Who the hell are you, newb? Jeff has walked the walk and is a better man than you will ever hope to be.
I suggest you move to the Religion Forum and start a new thread beginning with your knowledge of mormonism.
***blank threads are not allowed
Why thank you Miss Foxx.
And we don’t whine about it, ;-).
So does this mean you are one of the mods who "resigned"?
With your bias towards mormonism, you shouldn't have been in that position to begin with.
Were you the "friendly moderator" restornu kept referring to?
As they should be. I have absolutely no problem with Mormons. Just don’t believe in Joe Smith or his works.
That would answer a lot.
Totally, I can smell you through the computer screen.
Mormons are generally peaceful and socially Conservative
Then how do explain the almost monolithic support or the likes of Reid, Romney, Hatch and the like.
Mormonism is not socially conservative at its foundation, so either you know nothing about Mormonism or you are basing your view on Mormonism from that nice guy down the street.
The Salt Lake LDS Corporation has done a great job with its public relations, Mormonism is not what it appears to be. (Yes, I do know Mormonism by family and friends (some who stay some who have escaped)
There are other religions that have been called cults such as Christian Science, Jehovah’s Witnesses,Worldwide Church of God,Unity School of Christianity or Scientology that do not have to take the constant assault you allow on MormonISM.
***If a large contingent of one of these cults started pushing their wares on Free Republic, we would see the same response.
Hate has a smell anyone can recognize.
***Did Jesus have the smell of hate when he confronted the false teachers of His day, calling them vipers and Sons of the Devil?
Of course you may not have recognized the information about Mormonism on the Religion Forum is from Mormon sources.
Yet, then again may facts don’t interest you.
Actually you do have a problem with Mormons by allowing scat flingers to run wild on your forum. What has gone on is way beyond criticism.
I think we know the answer to that one.
Well, what goes on regarding many topics of discussion on FR go way beyond criticism. Ever read a thread on Sarah Palin?
Sometimes we have to let the discussion run its course.
“That is why it is important to read the true Word of G-d as given to Moses... the original, often imitated, but still around a lot longer than anything else... The Torah!
So again... Since you still havent answered... Do your beliefs match up to the Noahide laws?”
We have it too, but we understand it.
My personal problem with what you, and the Religion Moderator, are doing is singling out Mormonism for special abuse.

I don’t know the reasons why it is banned, but I imagine number one it would cause a lot of problems since most people do not take kindly to a religious cult being promoted . I don’t see any Scientologist Ecumenical threads around. Do you?
