Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

There are also LEGITIMATE AND CONCERNED conservatives
_____________________________________________

Did you notice at all that your so called “LEGITIMATE AND CONCERNED conservative” Willard has severely ignored the fact that there are multitudes of illegal aliens lining up to get AMNESTY ???

Your boy Wee Willie supposedly has his “hands tied”

What is that suppose to mean in all severeness ???

I gather we have a Chikin situation...

The rules for the Religion Forum are different than those on the news forum. If You’re curious, go to the Religion Moderator page where they’re posted and read them.

Not everyone is at the same place in their conservatism, and at their recognition of the GOP-e’s war against conservatism.

Not every freeper is at the same place in their recognition of, and fellowship with, and awareness of, the strength, commitment, and possibilities of this new anti-GOP-e/tea party rebellion.

Some freepers are ordinary republicans that only know Romney of the last five years, and they see him as the usual republican moderate that republicans are always forced to endure, and submit to, those freepers probably don’t understand the depths of our knowledge of Mitt Romney’s life long politics, and the hidden passion of his anti-conservatism, and they are puzzled about this determination not to get behind their party’s nominee, so we naturally hear the common and natural, election year cries of “most important election in history”, “if you don’t vote for Romney, you support Obama”, “Your third party vote is a vote for Obama”, etc.

Some of that has to be expected and endured, and ignored, if it becomes over done, over used, personal, and is creating logjams and hijackings, and too much bloodshed on threads, then a little slap down and a reminder of what freerepublic is, seems called for occasionally.

The last 3 months of an election year when freerepublic is against the GOP nominee, is going to be interesting and challenging.

I don’t know how JR can handle all the stuff he does, and has, for so many years.

Yeah, right. I'm gonna go hunting for my first post to the ex-Mormons because you don't believe me. Why would I possibly care what a gaggle of people who want everyone banned who doesn't believe Mormonism is satanic, thinks?

I asked an innocent scriptural question about a Mormon teaching, not realizing I was in the "Religion" forum or that I had stumbled into the "Mormons=satan" crowd. I just saw the headline in "latest posts".

Since none of you seem to have anything to do but fly thru threads and post reams of unreadable text, I'm sure someone will find it.

I wonder how many ex-Catholic, ex-Jewish, ex-Baptist, ex-Hindu, ex-evangelical, ex-Marxist, ex-bass fisher there are?
No one is buying this campaign to defeat Romney thru his mormonism. It won’t work.

... or perhaps you'd like to see something in a slightly broader range...?

Maybe new rules should be posted so no one offends the ex-Mormons by asking questions or challenging their sensitive natures.

I'm pretty sure that they welcome the questions and challenges.

C’mon, Deb. You’re no innocent babe in the woods. You’re a veteran attack warrior of old. I’ve seen you light into unsuspecting freepers and make mince meat of them many times. I have no doubt that you have alligator skin protected by several layers of flame-proof asbestos.

Maybe it was this one, but now that I’ve gotten a sample of your undiscerning posts, what you write cannot be legitimately called “innocent scriptural questions”. Once again, it’s obvious that your purpose is to sow discord. Obama thanks you for such efforts.

You guys should read “A Mormon in the White House” by Hugh Hewitt. A great book.

My first post at freerepublic was complaining about Hugh Hewitt's mushiness.

It suffices to demonstrate your line of “logic” is stupid. But being able to actually force you to don the clothespin would mean you were a zombie with no will.

(shocked face) I am an innocent angel who was set upon by rabid dogs and villagers with pitchforks. I think I had a garland of flowers on my head .

Plus, as you know, I attack(ed) because I thought I was dealing with eschoir or other enemies of the people...that's when you loved me and sent me i-orchids.

Maybe the rhetoric will die down with time. I’m tired of arguing in circles with die hard ABOs...so maybe it has already?

Not too sure. I'm still seeing the typical moronic "Obama thanks you for your vote".

My precious, darling, everyone will disappoint you (not me, but others). I've learned to live with the disappointments and embrace the good things in conservatives. Hugh Hewitt has no idea what he's talking about with regard to immigration and probably other things, but as a lawyer he makes brilliant arguments for conservatism and is militantly pro-life.

Militantly pro-life? I think this is where we came in about seven or eight years ago with Rudy/Romney.

For example:

Only the rhetoric has changed.
