But...he got her pregnant?
It takes two to do that unless he forcefully raped her.
Not sure this is sub commander material behavior though, have to see how it plays out.

..I'm still trying to figure out how adultery works in the ‘New New Navy’, perhaps it is a heterosexual only rule. In either case, committing it, even with a willing partner, is a career ender for a commanding officer.
Doesn't matter how it really plays out, his career ended already. It's just shuffling paperwork before retirement now.

Yeah, I have to agree.
Regardless of any details in this particular situation, adultery committed by a commanding officer is utterly unacceptable.
