Breitbart ^ | 31 Aug 2014, | CHARLES HURT

Is a police officer's number one job really to protect himself and his partner? Really?

“the Obama is preparing “props” (think stage props) for creating a scenario which will persuade a majority to sweep him into a third term. Not unlike the Reichstag Fire and Kristallnacht”

Thanks for making it understandable.

I remember when people said the same thing about Clinton.

And then people said Bush was going to do that.

Now it’s Obama.

Um...that video shows a textbook-perfect case of shooting in self defense, civilian or cop. Including the number of rounds. (Yes, I’ve had hundreds of hours of training on the subject.)

Yes, same is predicted of every president.
Better skittish than blindsided.
This guy IS doing more objective damage than others, and there is no apparent successor he’d be likely to hand power to.
Let’s hope the paranoia is wrong, and prepare as though right.

Well, enjoy your police state.

You applaud it well. Easily the reason cops went from peace officers and constables to Death Squads.

A car is a trivial obstacle to walk around, and not hard to jump & slide over.

If you accept the fact that cops are justified in emptying their magazines into anyone or anything they claim they feel "threatened by" as 'self-defense', then you are comfortable living with a police state and NO - you cannot reason with me about such a justification. Period.

And speaking of "emptying their magazines":

Schizophrenic man armed only with pellet gun 'had no face after being shot 80 times' by Texas cops
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3200287/posts

I posted it originally because I was gob-smacked by the size of the barrage. Later, I discovered something(s) disturbing: a "gate guard" at the truck stop where this happened actually determined by talking to the guy that he was carrying a pellet gun. The "civilian" guard then informed some of the swarms of officers who arrived to harass the "dangerous" peasant about the pellet gun.

A couple of the officers fist-bumped afterwards, and one took a picture of the bullet-riddled corpse with his cell phone. Party on, Garth! Schwing!

See post #61 for the followup information, and a video interview with the CFO of the truck stop, who was none too pleased at the spraying of lead, unannounced, and the perceived lack of professionalism amongst the shooters.

There’s a difference between shooting a guy coming at you with a knife with full obvious intent to kill you, vs liquifying a guy (and gloating about it) you know is carrying a mere pellet gun.

Not according to current Policy policy. Both are considered to be ‘a threat’, and like this incident, the cops have no smaller a cheerleading squad for the liquefying of the schitzo’s face than they do for those that killed this knife-wielder.

Same bunch of rah-rah types cheer and applaud MRAPs being used for domestic law enforcement.

They are gonna cheer the police state until the day comes they find themselves at the wrong end of it. But then, it will be too late for them, they assisted in helping it come into institutional being.

It’s a small jump from IRS intimidation, punishment and harassment of political opponents to using Law Enforcement to act as Enforcers for the Ruling Class, and we are within a hairsbreadth from that being reality.

When, one day JQPFrog’s pond was warmed quickly. JQ got out of it quickly, and so likewise did all his friends, and their friends. On a subsequent occasion during which the pond was warmed much more slowly, JQ P & friends attributed their discomfort to climate change, milling about the wilting Lilly pads aimlessly until very near death.

The clincher came when the pond warmers found warming by divers (seemingly) independent methodologies, achieved escape-reaction free near-fatal temperatures very quickly. Cut bait supplies increased noticeably, and Frog Legs, were then added to the menu.

Fun and very appropriate analogy.

For the frogs, upping the thermostat’s warm feeling of safety and security overrides any sense of danger and few possess wisdom to inquire WHY the pond is being heated up.

You may not wish to acknowledge that very important facet, but it contributed to the current problems, and must be addressed in order to address the problem.

Indeed; the state is a two-headed hydra which cares not whether its victims are liberal or conservative.

Both Democrats and Republicans have spent years feeding the beast, while blaming the other for its insatiable appetite.

Oh I don’t think they’re in much danger of that. We’re in more danger from them.

Invar, just let it go. They have their minds made up, nothing you can say will budge them. If the cops are their friends, then they’ll never realize what a police state this has become. If not...they’ll find out the hard way.

If you can’t see the difference between Bush, even Clinton, and Obama, then you need more help than we could ever provide.

Try reading The Onion Field and talk to some officers before you fall off your high horse
