Again, this thread is not on the Religion ForumThat is correct.
(huh?)
Everything gets a little complicated from time to time.
See post #147 for a screenshot.
My point was that the person I was posting to always falls back on if you don’t like it don’t click on the post. I was being sarcastic, and she obviously didn’t like it.
Why?
Read my post again.
I'll bold and color parts to help you understand the point of my post to you.
So again, got a link for what YOU said that one of "them" wrote? To: goodwithagunyou: One of them (cant remember who) wrote that Catholicism is worse than Islam!me: Got a link for that?
me: The post didn't say that.
Not only will you not find what YOU said was posted, but if you look closely at what was posted (and what so many are up in arms about) it doesn't even MEAN that "Catholicism is worse than Islam"
It wasn't leveled at ONLY you and it wasn't a false accusation. Just read back a view dozen posts from that one and you will find some doing exactly what I spoke of.
Can’t wait for the relpy.
Good to see you up here. Prayers up. You know some would love to hear from you at the other site.
Peace
Freedom of speech IS a two-way street, glad you acknowledge that. I hope you can appreciate, though, how telling another Freeper - who only said someone else was speaking his opinion...
...doesn't come across as all that welcoming of others rights to express their opinions. A better response would have been that you disagreed with that person's opinion. Instead, you compared him to Obama and then ordered him to "Stop, just stop.", even though he wasn't the one who said the "offensive" thing in the first place! It doesn't look like very many FRoman Catholics really DO believe in freedom of speech at all on this site.
Did you notice that Reformed and Evangelical did not ask the RM to ban Catholic flame sites like Catholic Answers?
Seems the book burning goes one way.
That’s not what I said.
Well, here is your post:
To: two134711I bolded your second sentence.Thank you for your reflections. You are saying what I would like to say, but instead, I get those replies of which you speak.
**Outside of Caucus threads the religious forum is based on sniping at posters and insulting others beliefs. Mostly its a few alleged Evangelicals damning those Papists, pedophiles, pagans, cracker-eaters, cannibals and Mary-worshipping heretics to Hell if they dont convert to the Western Branch of American Reform Presbylutheranism or the Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879. Then a very small contingent of Catholics tries to fight back.**
Just taking you at your word.
If you didn't mean it, you can retract it. No shame in that.
(So, please reconsider your decision to leave the "Religion Forum", "narses" (and other good posters here). Have a great evening, and no matter what the Catholic-Bashers ultimately choose to do with their posting habits, always keep in mind how Jesus and His Apostles were also bashed hideously by their foolish attackers and detractors. Goodnight, and God bless you.)
"The Catholic-Bashers Choir & Glee Club"
is obviously holding another horrendously vitriolic, anti-Catholic "choir practice" here tonight, but wouldn't it be great if they were to serious consider turning over a new leaf, and begin to "sing" a brand new tune from now on?
(Perhaps as a start, the Catholic-Bashers would no longer compulsively ping a very long ping-list of fellow anti-Catholics as a sort of "flash-mob-alert" on every anti-Catholic post they make here, trying to get all their fellow Catholic-Bashers to "gang-up-on-the-Catholic-poster" in a manner reminiscent of lawless flash-mob urban gangbangers in the inner-city. Perhaps they would begin to just respond individually to other posters in the future, in a kind, civil, and decent manner, and completely lose their false, pretentious, obnoxious, "know-it-all" exterior attitude. Perhaps they will also lose their tendency to engage in trying to pilfer the sovereign action of declaring a judgment of the eternal destiny of their fellow humans, since we know that that kind of judgment, of course, belongs only to God, and God has not divulged to those posters the results of His judgment.)
Picture this: Here they are (as I generally picture them "singing" -- based on their many prior loathsome Catholic-Bashing posts), the "Catholic-Bashers Choir & Glee Club", in all their magnificent glory (see below).
Now, imagine in the future that instead of "singing" their usual disgusting and repulsive Catholic- Bashing "music", they began to "sing" a new and completely different kind of heavenly "choir music" from now on, as they peacefully and joyfully "sing" with compassion toward all their brothers and sisters, in beautiful harmony, exuding nothing but Christian love towards everyone! Wouldn't that kind of drastic change be unbelievably great?
Can't you almost hear that completely different kind of marvelous "singing" if they changed their tune? Let us all hope and pray that a miracle takes place here, and, from now on, the "Catholic- Bashers Choir & Glee Club" will begin to change their vile posting practices, and will begin instead to harmoniously and lovingly practice the following kinds of songs in their new choir practice, openly expressing their strong desire for Christian unity and solidarity, as they reach out to their Catholic brothers and sisters with humility, meekness, kindness, compassion, sincerity, and genuine Christian love.
"They'll Know We Are Christians By Our Love"
("Not My Sister, Not My Brother, But It's Me O Lord")
"Standing In The Need Of Prayer"
"An Evening Prayer"
("If I have wounded any soul today...")
("If I Live A Holy Life, Shun The Wrong, And Do The Right")
"I Know The Lord Will Make A Way For Me" (version 1)
"I Know The Lord Will Make A Way For Me" (version 2)
(A beautiful "faith plus works" Protestant hymn!)
"Faith of Our Fathers"
"Blest Be the Tie That Binds"
"By this all men will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another." John 13:35
Hahahahahaaaa! You are joking, right?
What a hate filled spew from such a self righteous claim! The pics posted are quite representative of the rabid Catholic cult posting herein!
Thanks!!! You proved the point quite well. RC's are mentally unstable...
I’m just here for the cereal boxes.
LOL...funny!
Might be some are just belly aching in order to get the threads “transformed” to something else than what they were very well planned and determined “worakable” for FR.
There are options so people can choose.....as well as not participate at all. If catholics or protestants don’t like the religious threads then the answer is exactly as was established...either scroll by, go to “devotional” threads. It’s really that simple.
To wine about what’s posted just means they probably need to find a “religious” site that caters to their belief system. I personally like the way Jim has this set up.....and I do think the moderators are “exceptional” and this without bias. I may not always agree but I do think they are accurate from their perspective and judgement based on “the rules” of engagement....and we are given lots of freedom of “expression”.
We can all “pick” what threads to respond to or not....or just let those that we might be sensitive to scroll by...

Antagonism though not encouraged, should be expectedPosters may argue for or against beliefs, deities, religious authorities, etc. They may tear down others beliefs. They may ridicule. Open RF debate is often contentious.
It requires thick skin. A poster must be able to make his points while standing his ground, suffering adverse remarks about his beliefs - or letting them roll off his back.
Members of religions which are as much culture as belief sometimes take religious debate personally. If you keep getting your feelings hurt because other posters ridicule or disapprove or hate what you hold dear, then you are too thin-skinned to be involved in open RF debate. You should IGNORE open RF threads altogether and instead post to RF threads labeled prayer devotional caucus or ecumenical.
At the same time, I find it revealing that the most "Christian" part of this site is what it is; "by their fruits ye shall know them." If the hallmark of Christian discussion really were tossing attacks, accusations, and sarcastic one-liners at one another, I'd rather just stay a heathen and post on a forum where at least the moderators allow swearing.
Here's one...
