A poster child for what being stoned does to your judgment.
I made no such assertion. Are you high?
"...may be an indication of addictive thinking...pattern of reasoning used to justify our use."
While I most certainly am obsessive compulsive and a perfect candidate for addiction, I am not a user. I do understand how things I have said here might lead to that assumption, but one nonetheless has to assume facts not in evidence to make that leap.
More or less the point I was making.
Good luck with your dependencies.
Thank you Smoky Backroom, best of luck to you.
I think we’re talking about the same guy.

“Marijuana consumption by Colorado high school students has dipped slightly since the state first permitted recreational cannabis use by adults, a new survey showed on Monday, contrary to concerns that legalization would increase pot use by teens.”
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/colorado-s-teen-marijuana-usage-dips-after-legalization/
“But Diane Carlson, of SMART Colorado, an organization that pushes for tighter regulations to keep cannabis away from children, said data from a 2015 survey by the federal Department of Health and Human Services showed that Colorado ranks first in the nation for marijuana use by youth between the ages of 12 and 17.”
This is a guy who contends that doing drugs improves his ability to function. That's a standard position held by many pot heads in denial. A drug-addled brain is hardly the objective self-assessor of behavior levels.
So who’s to be believed, Colorado’s agency or fedzilla? Freedom vs nanny state?
” A drug-addled brain is hardly the objective self-assessor of behavior levels. “
Does this include those taking anti-depressants & anti-anxiety medications as well?
Well, can we believe kids who “say” that they don’t smoke pot?
Yep. Anyway, the placebo effect is well-noted in psychotropic drugs.
“Well, can we believe kids who say that they dont smoke pot?”
Using that logic how can we trust kids in any survey ever? Do you believe kids are inherently dishonest or just regarding cannabis?
“Yep. Anyway, the placebo effect is well-noted in psychotropic drugs.”
Well-noted by who? You have a link? Also, what is your experience or certification that qualifies you to make such a statement? I ask so I can better understand where you’re coming from.
BTW, I suffered from horrible depression & anxiety for 20+ years. I was prescribed buckets of anti-depressants, anti-anxiety & atypical anti-psychotics & all I did over those 20 years was get gradually worse. I never experience a placebo effect from any of those medicines.
In 2015, I started using cannabis & the need for those prescribed medicines vanished. Today I’m a happy, active & productive member of society & a thankful medical marijuana patient here in the state of Florida.
The nature of the survey questions are relevant. Pot has always been, and is, illegal for kids to smoke. Who's going to fess up to breaking the law?
Do you smoke it, or is it in oral pill form?
Big difference.
So we should therefore not believe kid survey’s regarding alcohol as well? Again, what are you experiences/qualifications to make such a statement?
I mean either kids can be scientifically surveyed or they can’t. Since kids have been surveyed over the years with scientific reliability why are they suddenly unbelievable?
“Do you smoke it, or is it in oral pill form? Big difference.”
From a physiological standpoint I concur. Smoking cannabis has some health risks just as any form of smoking plants does. Myself, I hate the act of smoking cannabis. It tastes terrible & is very harsh on my throat.
Here in Florida, smoking cannabis is not permitted. Myself, I vape the concentrated oils along with some oral oils, drops & pills.
I’m glad you found relief. But the rare exception shouldn’t be made the rule.
“Im glad you found relief.”
Thanks. I am too :)
“But the rare exception shouldnt be made the rule.”
Thankfully voters in increasing numbers disagree.
