I am so disgusted at the hypocrisy of these moderators; I've got nothing else to say!

"What are the bugles blowin' for?" said Files-on-Parade.
"To turn you out, to turn you out", the Colour-Sergeant said.
"What makes you look so white, so white?" said Files-on-Parade.
"I'm dreadin' what I've got to watch", the Colour-Sergeant said.
For they're hangin' Danny Deever, you can hear the Dead March play,
The Regiment's in 'ollow square -- they're hangin' him to-day;
They've taken of his buttons off an' cut his stripes away,
An' they're hangin' Danny Deever in the mornin'.

Sorry to see you go. Actually, there is a Nazi analogy that's apt, but it's about Brown Shirts and those who follow anything a "leader" wants to do in response to a crisis. I won't read the responses--the first one was about the door hitting you in the ass, and I'm sure most are of the same originality.
We've lost another good poster, as we've lost so many. At this rate, we should rename this place "Deliverance" for all the incest going on--there are few opposition voices remaining. It is certainly not representative of either a "Republic" or a "Free" society.

More likely that it was a case of cowardice on the prosecutor's part -- because his decision-making on prosecutions of this type is shaped by the politically-correct hue and cry that would follow any decision to non-prosecute.Great opus sneakypete. Folks like you will be missed. This was a great forum back during the end of the Clinton years and the election of W. There was opportunity for real debate on the serious topics that concern us all. Lately, due to the moderators, all dissent (i.e. anyone not projecting the party line) is censored. It has indeed become a "rah-rah" forum for the war with Iraq and the Israeli Likud party. I still log on daily to get fast breaking news and there are some great articles posted on a variety of subjects. Not to mention that the graphic set up for articles/posts is the best I've seen on any forum. But, indeed the discourse has become very shallow. I know you'll be lurking...think about coming back...we need you.

That was the worst opus I have ever seen here, and I've seen them all.

Were I to counsel Sneaky, I can only refer to Churchill, who faced a much tougher problem... "Never, Never, Never give up."
I have lurked since about 1997 (easy to lose track) and read Sneaky's posts for the last year or so. The 'Bushbot' language misses the point. Many of us who support President Bush are genuine Constitutionalists and intellectually well trained. Do we agree with W all the time? Hardly. Do we understand the difficulties W faces? Not all, but apparently we understand most better than Sneaky. We are not knee-jerk Republicans. We are not robots. Sneaky always seemed, well, irascible.
IMHO, it is generous of the moderators to allow you to post his Parthian shot. In conclusion, I would ask Sneaky to return. Not for the sake of Freeperdom. But for his own. We are all fallible and can learn when we humbly consider other viewpoints with an open mind. Jim Robinson's forum is an ideal place for this. To flee and give up the fight is to acknowledge defeat. Quitters never win and winners never quit.

The downside is noone will remember you after tonight.

Dude, you've been banned more than that eschoir fellow - don't be a pussy and just take your cooler time. Suck up? Yeah - suck up. Non-bomb happy folks like myself need all the tactical air support one can get in these crazy times.

Goodbye Pete. I am going to miss your thoughtful input. You were one of the top 10 posters on this site. I second everything you said. There are some good people on this site but the mindless Bushbots outnumber them 10 to 1. Hooah!

Sorry to see you go, pete. Dunno why you were suspended, and I guess it doesn't matter. I always appreciated your posts, and your inclination not to follow along with the crowd for the sake of following
While I disagree with you about the need for the War on Iraq, you've hit a bullseye with regard to the "Bush must be praised at all times, and anyone who's shaken hands with him too" contingent at FR. I think the President is a decent guy, but that doesn't make a cult of personality around him any more appealing. In fact, it's the worst thing to hit FR in the time I've been here. Good opus, altogether.
May you enjoy good fortune wherever you land.

Pete's a good guy. Crusty and grumpy...yes, but I have no doubt he wants what's best for this country. His insights and "one-liners" will be missed. Plus, he did a damn fine job of holding Bush's feet to the fire.
P.S.- if I ever see a newbie say "ESAD!" then I'll know pete re-registered here at FR.
