A murder offense (no priors) of 20 years can be reduced to 3 years with good behavior. The punishment for breaking laws is too lenient. If we execute drug possessors as you recommend, what shall we do with murderers?

I know I feel safer now. I would feel safer knowing that LEO's are concentrating on catching terrorists instead of a few pot smokers.
But that's just my opinion, I might be wrong.

Is Canada, now under U.S. control, or laws? When weren't we? Usually it's 'US says jump', Canada responds, 'How high?'. Until this Iraqi affair that is. So we didn't do what you told us once, and now we're in a heap of trouble. Not that I agree with our stance on Iraq, nor do I with decriminalization of pot, but this has always been the case. It's a fact of life, and it ruffles more than a few Canuck's feathers. I don't particular mind personally.

Every pot smoker needs to be taught on what the price is for pot, not what they pay in dollars, but what they pay in life.
Pot is a vampire, it sucks the life right out of you. How many pot heads you know that are successful in business vs how many you know sit around on ratty couchs their whole life thinking they got it all figured out?
Pot is stupidity in a bag for sale to the "highest" bidder.

I got downright hateful for about 3 weeks, but nicotine is a true toxin - there is a known toxic dosage. There is no know toxic dosage of THC. "Detox" seems kind of a misnomer in this context.

I've never used the stuff, but I have seen huge numbers of successful businessmen who have used it in my thirty five years in business, and have never met any of the latter.

If pot smokers are going to be forced into "detox classes" to hear about the terrible things pot can do, why shouldn't the same be done with drinkers?

How many pot heads you know that are successful in business vs how many you know sit around on ratty couchs their whole life thinking they got it all figured out?About the same as successful chain smokers, alcoholics or pill poppers. People who allow themselves to become addicted ussually lack the self discipline to succeed in life. Some addictions are less severe and debilitating than others though. I'll take a pothead over an alcoholic any day.

I'll take a pothead over an alcoholic any day. Ahh. But there are some pretty good examples of exceptions. One is sitting in the White House at the moment. I'd say he's a success.
Just in case nobody knows- President Bush is a recovering alcoholic. By his own admission.

If all peoples are executed or put into gulags, then no crime...issue solved. Guards can turn self into camps at night or when not on shift...issue solved.
To: tacticalogic
Well, Pot is a toxin, thus "high" caused by debalanced system. Same can be got by drinking 20+ liters of water and flushing system. But pot not physically addictive, so "detoxing" body like for heroine, will do nothing but help pass future piss tests.
To: unixfox
No, no, buying pot supports terrorists, so all pot smokers are terrorist financiers, so all financiers are ideological co-conspirators with terrorists, so all co-conspirators are enablers, so they are all the same....shoot them all.
Now, good thing this does not apply to users of ME petro-chemicals. :0)
