UPDATE, Sunday, 8:43 PM EDT: I am informed that Drudge may break the story Sunday night. Also,
The story, written by author and investigative journalist Joel Mowbray, will run on page 1, above the fold, in tomorrow's Washington Post. Joel will also be on Fox & Friends tomorrow morning to talk about the story. (7:30EST)
??????????????????????????????
It better be good and put F'n on the defensive, because the MSM is gonna unleash hell on Bush this week to try and save their candidate.
Is this story supposed to hurt Bush or Kerry. I have heard it is supposed to hurt Kerry.
Hurt Kerry.
Joel Mowbray, on the front page of the Washington Post? I think not.
nothin to see here. We've been promised a story all month. Nothing's going to happen. Move along.
anyone know anything about Mowbray.\I guess I will go google him.
No story, however damaging, will deter the Kerry supporters from voting against George Bush. It's wishful thinking.
ping
this is the one that Powerline was talking about?
Wapost? Wowsers.
Hope it's big
Well, at least we now know that it's actually true. Sometimes the story about the story turns out to be false.
The fact that Drudge doesn't even know the content tells me that it's big.
I just don't want to be disappointed. I don't want to hear that it involves Kerry buying weed from the VC. That would probably energize his base!
Is this the one about him actively supporting the BC position in Paris?
Apparently the MSM has decreed any unrepented anti-American activites more than 30 years ago don't count.
It's supposed to be in the WA Times, not the Post.
Suposed to hurt Kerry, instead of him being a flip flopper, its supposed to paint him as an outright liar.
ve have vays of making you talk....
Joel Mowbray usually breaks stories about the State Dept, like the "visa express" scandal.
There is a pathetic story "developing" about the Abu Graib diary...the WaPo will try to bhurt Bush. This might be as prevention of the one that may come in the WaTimes.
I'd been debating about revealing this tip, but it seemed necessary to report, so you all know that I am aware of this pending story and will be sure to bring it to you as it is brought to light
So you have nothing to report, but you wanted to tell us that.
Hhhmmm...just saw this on another thread...is this it?
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/
If so- I don't think it's a plus for W.
I googled him,,he is a conservative, town hall columnist. He wrote Dangerous Diplomacy about the state dept endangering America. He is one of us.
Afraid the missing explosive story with us covering it up will top anything Mowbray has to say. Kerry will say "I would do it better",,
thanks.
Its actually the NY Times...

Dude, if you have info to share, just share it. It's going to be all over the news tomorrow!
Pray for W an Our Troops
The Times didn't just re-hash the Seymour Hersh garbage on Abu Gharaib, they also ran a story on the disappearance of explosives in Iraq during the early days of the occupation.
After two "discussions" with liberals today, I totally agree.
Lets hope it energiZes our base.
Our mantra for the next week:
GET OUT THE VOTE! GET OUT THE VOTE!
No, that's the basic NYTimes story which was spoon fed by Josh Marshall to the reporter.
Ok- so it's still a msytery what Mowbray has in tomorrow's Wash Times?
msytery=mystery duuhhh..
I have read rumors that it has to do with wmd. But, I don't know for a fact.
I think someone should run with the KLA story, too. IMHO
BUMP
Are missing explosives in Iraq and an Abu Gharaib diary the best they can do? Pitiful.
This info was released weeks ago. The story is probably something relating to Kerry's military record or anti-war activities.
Mowbray has a book out about the state dept. I can't remember the exact title, but it about the threat that the State Dept poses to the country. RedState.Org has sent an email out about the coming story that they have been predicting and the site is overwhelmed.
Have you seen anything about the Wash times story? I am beginning to wonder.
Not what it's about. All I know is that it has to do with foreign policy and Kerry lies. I am not as hopeful that it will be as big as the hype.
Just read the Kerry/KLA info on another thread...That's got to get out there!! We cannot let the Kerrorists win!!!

More on the John Kerry Story By: krempasky · Section: Breaking News
I'm pleased to introduce Red State readers to our newest and most welcome contributor, Joel Mowbray. Joel is the author of the Washington Times piece we referred to on Saturday - which will run page 1, above-the-fold tomorrow.. Joel is a long-time columnist, investigative journalist, and author of Dangerous Diplomacy: How The State Department Threatens American Security . He's a dogged reporter -- see, for example, his epic series of confrontations with the State Department's Richard Boucher, one of which led to his being "detained" -- and he's the first person that Red State approached once it became clear that there might be a story here.
He'll be blogging here at Red State to cover developments in the story and respond to any critiques and comments raised. We're lucky to have him, and happy to be able to provide a place for him to cover the story in a way that doesn't depend on print deadlines or studio time.
I know the KLA story seems huge to me, but if we can't get mainstream media to cover it, it won't go anywhere. The story has been out in Agence France Presse for several days, but not a word here.
well, I have to go to bed! Wish I had a bed pinger that would go off if anything broke.
I don't think that we will hear anything until midnight East Coast time. So, go to bed and read it in the morning.
Update [2004-10-24 18:19:47 by krempasky]: Mea culpa. I sent an email out a few minutes ago, and while I correctly identified the newspaper as the Washington Times in the subject line, I had a seizure and mixed it up with the WaPo in the body. So - for the record, we're talking about the Washington Times. Sorry for the confusion.
There was never any confusion for me, I've been following this on RedState since Saturday night. I knew it was the Times. Not your fault.
Well, the Times story is up (posted in Breaking News). Not such a bombshell. Kerry lied.
That's what I predicted. The KLA story is much bigger. The Kerry lied story was hyped because the RedState.Org tipped the reporter and sent out mass emails to bloggers who repeated the hype.
