I have heard of these "CoverUp" allegations before but I never really followed up on them to see what it's all about.
Sure wish I had the time to do some serious research in this matter.
I've read some of the newspaper accounts provided on the web pages connected with this Franklin Credit Union Child Sex Ring. This one has a few news accounts. Evidently, a big deal is being made of the fact that one of the key players in this ring, Lawrence King, also headed said credit union and was part owner of an ADULT escort service based in DC. Supposedly this guy, King, contributed to a company that arranged speaking tours for Oliver North (I'm pretty sure they had other clients, but unless they're connected to Reagan/Bush they would be insignificant, naturally) and a girl who was part of this ring and under psychiatric care, believes she saw Bush at one of KIng's parties. Well, that's certainly enough evidence to decide Reagan/Bush are not just involved but probably kingpins.
King was convicted of embezzling $40 mil from the bank, but was never convicted for the child porn stuff, which (these being republicans) also involved satanic ritual murder. As with all heinous crimes involving wealthy republicans (dems apparently are angel-pure), the CIA helped to cover it up and stopped any investigation by the FBI...proving the FBI is actually under the control of the CIA...which, of course, makes one wonder why they were so uncoopertive with pre-9/11 intelligence...but rest assured...when it comes to wealthy politicians/dignitaries/businessmen involved in illicit sex the FBI is a wholey owned subsidiary of the CIA. Social services believed the children/teens according to this website, but I don't know whether or not there was a child-sex ring in Nebraska. The McMartin preschool case always reminds me how easy it is to create mass hysteria and put ideas previously NOT there into children's minds. It did get some press coverage (NYT, Village Voice), but except for a couple of foreign publications, the stories seem to have fizzled for lack of evidence...of course according to the websites the story was killed by the WH. Given that and how much the press all hate Reagan, you'd think they'd be hot to continue publishing and investigating during the Clinton admin. when conditions were definitely favorable to them.
Anway, this DC partner, Spence, who wasn't involved in the child-sex ring, got special tours of the WH late at night. At the time (and I don't see any proof that the tours were known/approved by the president or veep)...the article indicates this guy, Spence, had "cultivated" a uniformed Secret Service guy who helped him gain WH access. At one of the tours he brought a boy who he said was his 15 year old son, which turned out to be false.
However, this ADULT escort service/male prostitution ring in DC was used by some high ranking gov. officials, career-types with security clearance...from the sounds of it, DC insiders, etc. An investigation was being conducted by the SS and other law enforcement during the Reagan/Bush admin. The object (other than stopping an illegal activity) was to ferret out closeted gays working in government because the KGB would use that as a means of blackmail. Supposedly, the guys running these sex rings were republicans and probably contributed to election campaigns. If contributing/schmoozing with politicians is automatically going to make them a part of whatever crime said schmoozer is committing, then I'd think the democrats need to be very careful themeselves. Be that as it may, wouldn't one assume, if Reagan and Bush were hobnobbing with rich gays, they'd NOT have wanted AIDS to be spread around since (being greedy repubicans) they'd potentially lose a valuable source of contributions? Certainly all these conspiracy theories can't be right since they seem to conflict with one another.

THIS ONES FOR YOU CINDY Aug. 10 I attempted something of a smaller proportions in Omaha in 1988 when someone tried to take my child away from me. His name was Bill Baker and he was connected, unbeknowns to me, to the Franklin Credit Union, entire corruption on the City of Omaha, from the Police Chief Wadman, to the media Peter Citron to the corporate and on and on. But where it eventually landed was at the steps of the Republican party run by none other then Papa Bush.

I didn't loose my kid that day when my life became effected by these people, I was lucky enough to look out the window when a car stopped by my daughter and son on the side of my house...I can understand her motivation to make a change no matter what it takes. I know because in my little universe I was able to help create a law that made enticement against children a felony all the way to the State house. Little ole me, just a little housewife from Omaha NE. I moved mountains, with my little voice and my never taking no for an answer. I think of my little involement in that historic event (which has gone totally unnoticed in the rest of the nation because it is connected to Bush himself and his cronies). It saddeness me and frightens me to know as much as I know. These people are evil...They almost got my daughter (I was told by the police that they were aware of Bill Baker and there was nothing they could do. His fetish was blonde hair, blue eyed little boys or girls under the age of 7 and my daughter had flowing blonde hair and was 7 at the time. This guy would not give up on my daughter and eventually he ended up killed by none other then his own. These people are wicked.
If what she says is true, then it seems there was more going on here than just enticement. "This guy would not give up on my daughter" implies a continued stalking that goes much further than a car stopping by the side of her house. However, if the police chief was involved I would think they would be unwilling to tell her they were "aware" of one of the participants (Bill Baker) in this sex ring. I guess that's probably why (given they knew about this man and his "fetishes") they didn't follow through with any real investigation that would lead to charges to put this man away. They also seemed curiosly unconcerned about what lynette knew
At any rate, the NE statutes can be found here. Not only is each law defined and penalties explained, but dates of previous laws/statutes are provided as well, which is pretty handy if you want to research their history. For instance:

Criminal child enticement; penalties.
(1 & 2 give descriptions of what constitutes child enticement and exempt situations)
(3) Any person who violates this section commits criminal child enticement and is guilty of a Class I misdemeanor. If such person has previously been convicted of (a) criminal child enticement under this section, (b) sexual assault of a child under section 28-320.01, or (c) assault under section 28-308, 28-309, or 28-310, kidnapping under section 28-313, or false imprisonment under section 28-314 or 28-315 when the victim was under eighteen years of age when such person violates this section, such person is guilty of a Class IV felony.

Evidently, the law has (unfortunately) changed since she "created" a new law making child enticement a felony as it's currently a misdemeanor...unless the perp has been previously convicted of another crime.
As she says...she was very lucky indeed because being in the media spotlight didn't help many of the others who were killed to keep this whole sordid sex ring covered up. Indeed, even the man stalking her daughter, Bill Baker, a prominent restaraunt owner who was certainly in the media spotlight more often than a Nebraska housewife, wasn't saved by media exposure. A list (you have to scroll down to #32) of prominent Nebraskans who died suspiciously is found here. Ironically, while people were dropping like flies around him, the author of the book about this cover-up, DeCamp, remained quite healthy and unthreatened. Call me crazy, but if I'm the ringleader of a child prostitution ring and I get word of someone's investigating me (and I've already had a slew of people die under "mysterious" circumstances), the death of one more investigator just isn't going to be that big of a deal to me.

everything Bonacci is saying is true. They used the same logic that right wing folks do. They disallow their story. I was mentioned in the paper that because I was trying to stop children's kidnapping, that I was some how a sexual predator myself. These people will stop at nothing. They wanted my daughter and the police stood by and did nothing. I made such a stink about it, I got the press involved and low and behold he ended up dead, totally silent. Anyone that brought any kind of notice to these people ended up dead. This is all true. Please believe me.
While I must have missed the "right wing" logic course, I'm guessing that while the rest of the story was suppressed, poor lynette was "accused" (at least in print) of being a sexual predator. I"m no lawyer, but I'm pretty sure even back in the dark days of 1988 that would have been worthy of a retraction and/or a lawsuit. Perhaps it was enough that they finally redeemed themselves because her rantings got the press to see her side which led, not to her murder, but the murder of the guy she was accusing...evidently her, the author of the book and a Paul Bonacci, who was part of this sex ring when he was young, are the only people who "brought any kind of notice" that didn't end up dead. Oh, and perhaps Gosch since he was supposedly kidnapped into this same sex ring. Since this extends all the way to the WH and seems to include some management by the CIA one wonders why they were sloppy enough to leave these people alive to tell their tale.
As if this wasn't convoluted enough...Hunter Thompson "knew" about this as, only in the bizarre world of DU are they aware enough to know he killed himself to prevent someone from killing him...makes perfect sense to me. Further on in the thread she says:

SO...now this Bill wasn't a major player in this child-sex ring, but a mere nobody and she, being the Norma Rae of Nebraska jurisprudence, was being "watched" by the media (who were also involved, by the way), thus saving her own life. If it weren't for the Bushies...I'm sure she'd be famous, having single handedly brought a sex ring down...as it is, she's just an extra in a second-rate drama.
