Back in 2000 and 96 and 92 Pat Buchannan was a lone voice in the wilderness on immigration. Every Sunday morning Buchannan articulately attacked Bush on immigration. Bush stumped pro-immigration. He stumped in Spanish. I saw him repeatedly on the big Telemundo and Univision TV networks.... networks that have a much larger audience than CNN or FOX TV.
Watching Ed Gillespie opine about this on FOX tonight felt almost no different than listening to Howard Dean

You might be right although I think I got it. Just didn't think it was that funny. BTW, didn't mean to be impolite, just somewhat terse. This is a very serious problem that will cause the fragmentation of our nation, terminally. It may still end up being great, but it's gonna either be fragmented formally or informally. Unless you're as old as the hills, it will come within your lifetime.
Immigrants coming here today have absolutely no intention of "blending into a melting pot," they do have every intention on altering our nation to suit their needs, societal, political, or otherwise. Sadly they're succeeding.

apparently Bush wants us to all roll over and hand our nation to Mexico. The History books will read, the once greatest nation in the world lost its' spine to a third world nation. Won't that be something to be proud of.
