Seventy seconds cut is hardly gutted. From what I hear NO point was changed or even weakened. We did not have to see Berger hang up to understand he was incompetent and gutless.
I saw an actual, honest-to-goodness, DUmmie today. I was driving through the Costco parking lot, headed to Lowes, when I spotted this 50-ish man with long, frizzy, salt-and-pepper hair getting out of his car. I noticed several stickers on the back of the car, most notably the one from the Kerry-Edwards campaign. He then turned around, and to my amusement, he was wearing a shirt with the D.U. logo on it! It was a real treat to see one of them in the wild!

To bad somebody can't get Clinton flustered under oath and have him stumble
into an admission like this:

No he was not. The movie showed his gutlessness and mendacity very well. Not only was the cut scene unnecessary but I would not be surprised to find the writer put a few extras in so when the predictable squawks were heard he could remove a bit just to be able to say he responded to the critics.
The movie was awesome and devastating to the Clintons, the CIA and the FBI. Even adding Somolia and Gorelick would just have been piling on. Like passing for a touchdown while ahead by 40 points in the last two minutes of a football game.
I am astonished that ABC allowed something like this to be produced and shown. And the network covered the costs. Amazing.

He certainly was more incompetent than portrayed. Merely naysaying the premise is not an argument. You need better information. If you think the cut scene was unnecessary, that's great, but the writer of the film thought it was necessary to put it in there in the first place, and I'll stick with him.
Your premise is what, the version shown in the U.S. was the most effective form the film could possibly taken? Ridiculous.
