Gore (D-Tenn, sorta) vs Thompson (R-Tenn). I don’t know about the rest of the country, but Fred would carry Tennessee 80-20.

Canceling global warming speeches doesn't necessarily Gore's planning to run. It could mean he's decided to stop assaulting reason and wants to distance himself from his immediate past.
Theres a race of men that dont fit in,
A race that cant stay still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountains crest;
Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they dont know how to rest.
If they just went straight they might go far;
They are strong and brave and true;
But theyre always tired of the things that are,
And they want the strange and new.
They say: Could I find my proper groove,
What a deep mark I would make!
So they chop and change, and each fresh move
Is only a fresh mistake.
And each forgets, as he strips and runs
With a brilliant, fitful pace,
Its the steady, quiet, plodding ones
Who win in the lifelong race.
And each forgets that his youth has fled,
Forgets that his prime is past,
Till he stands one day, with a hope thats dead,
In the glare of the truth at last.
He has failed, he has failed; he has missed his chance;
He has just done things by half.
Lifes been a jolly good joke on him,
And now is the time to laugh.
Ha, ha! He is one of the Legion Lost;
He was never meant to win;
Hes a rolling stone, and its bred in the bone;
Hes a man who wont fit in.

Former US Vice President Al Gore holds a news conference 28 June 2007 to the Live Earth Call to Action, a series of commitments the Live Earth will be asking people across the globe to make to combat the climate crisis. The global "Live Earth" music event to fight climate change has won the high-profile backing of Gore, who announced he was joining its drive to slash harmful carbon emissions.(AFP/File/Timothy A. Hillary will be PISSED! She hates gore worse than conservatives. If gore runs obama is instantly delegated to VP.
