Just so we're clear: Oprah's show is not "above" politics. Oprah's politics, and those of her senior staff, do influence the way the show is made. That is their right, of course. However, it is important that her audience be fully aware of that, not only when a show's theme is overtly political, but for every moment of every show. For the left especially, politics suffuses everything. This understanding is especially important because I've heard that just the female component of Oprah's audience actually exceeds the population of planet earth, and many of them take what comes out of Oprah's mouth as gospel.
