Snowe, Collins and Specter To Side Against Taxpayers on Socialist Spending Spree (ACTION ALERT)
Cross Action News ^ | 2-7-09 | JB Williams

Every last House Republican and a dozen House Democrats took a hard-line stance against Nancy Pelosi’s effort to stimulate Obama’s rush into unbridled socialism and almost every Senate Republican stands opposed as well. Obama’s Chicken Little Stimulus Package won’t stimulate anything but more government waste and a left-wing power grab, and almost every American taxpayer knows it!

There is absolutely nothing “bi-partisan” about the current legislative process or the so-called “stimulus bill” being produced by that process.

Three token blue state Republicans, all of whom have defected their party principles on many occasions in the past, are selling out the American taxpayer in an effort to retain their blue state Senate seats and buy favor with Democrats for their own pet projects.

We can only hope all three lose to real Republicans in the next primary.

Is there anything we can do NOW...NOW? Not next election? Why are they even Republicans? How do these people get elected time after time..I don’t even blame them..I blame us.

I am writing my Senator, David Vitter, as well as Sen. Mitch McConnell and asking them to do everything possible to remove these clowns from any committee on which they serve. Oh, no, you say, they might switch parties. BFD, they already have.

I gave up hope with Specter ever being replaced. He'll be in the Senate until he breathes his last breath. With that guy's track record I just cannot figure out why the voters of PA keep sending him back to the Senate. 'Course, that could also be said about the people who keep voting for Kennedy, Byrd, Durban, Snow, Collins, Graham, and a host of others.....

I live in Penna, and I called Specter's office asking him to vote NO. He obviously didn't listen. I don't vote for Specter, but he gets re-elected anyway. Maybe he won't run next time because of his health issues and age. Then the voters here in PA will elect a democrat senator.

I’m reading Steele is cleaning house at the RNC, heard this from a staffer in there. Waiting for more details...

If he is serious about revamping the Party he will find Republicans who can at least pass the easy task of being Northereastern moderates to run against the Liberals who betray their Party on critical votes like last night.

Otherwise he is just BSing us.

This one will be pivotal.

Yep. If this one goes down it will set the tone for the Obamalamadingdong Administration for the next two years...

Still hope to hound these 3 and the ‘rats.

Yep. I hope the rest of the 'Pubbies show some spine and vote against this nonsense. If the rest of the 'Pubbies do vote against it we need to call them and thank them for voting against this. We need to make sure they stay on our side of the street.....

The sad thing is that all the desperate screeching about the urgency of passing this “stimulus” bill is all a lie too. Most of it isn’t even due to start taking effect for another year or more.

Obviously, but people need to realize, and soon, that our current course, in fact the course we've been on for the past 20 odd years, is not sustainable. It is utterly amazing how these people can so easily mortgage our children's future in order to satisfy their petty desires. I guess they figure they'll all be dead and it won't matter to them when the bill comes due.....

Bingo. It's sickening how much of it goes into effect in 2010, which also just happens to be (drum roll) an election year.....

I wrote Specter last night. He is up for re-election next year and will go into the Philly labor union bosses back pocket to get their. I voted for Toomey in the PA primary in 2004. Bush and Santorum sided with Specter and he squeaked it out. I guess he didn't learn. Conservatives abandoned Rick because of it and they no doubt will do the same this time. I hope Pat Toomey is paying attention.
