On Thursday Sept 15, 2008 at roughly 11 AM The Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous draw down of money market accounts in the USA to the tune of $550 Billion dollars in a matter of an hour or two. Money was being removed electronically. Serious questions: Logistically, how could any person/entity/organization remove that many dollars in such a short period of time? Who would own that many dollars and have access/capability to withdraw it so quickly? From what institutions was this huge amount of money withdrawn from? Where was the money transferred to?
I'm just trying to understand a valid scenario that this could happen under, before I assume what is being reported is valid.

The Congressman was talking about a briefing he received on Monday 9/15/08.
He referenced the ‘run’ that happened on the morning of “Thursday”
Check your calendar, or do the math to see which day in September was the Thursday prior to Monday the 15th, but let me recommend that you sit down before you do.
