Philadelphia Examiner ^ | February 16, 2009 | Clyde Middleton

I want to see it applied to every form of public communication. I want words counts and placements done on NYT and WaPo. I want Chatty Katie’s words to be categorized as “liberal,” “conservative,” and “neutral.” I want headlines analyzed. I want Ombudsmen to unionize and be assigned to reporters in groups. I want monthly, weekly, daily reports of everything spoken on TV, radio, newsprint. I want some it all. Let’s watch as radio losers listeners and newspapers lose readers. Let’s watch Chatty Katie grit her teeth through a Palin family vacation piece. ALL. OF. IT.

Took my words! We are all about Fairness Doctrine. Let’s start with CBS, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CNN, et al.

Watch the Dems demonizing radio personalities. They do so in a way that causes FD to look fair to the masses.

I want to see Rush Limbaugh go toe to toe with Keith Olberman on MSNBC in live debate ( after all ? it’s the fairness doctrine ? right ) ...or Mark Levin go toe to toe with Crissy Mathews .

No, you misunderstand. The "Fairness Doctrine" is supposed to deliver fairness to them. It isn't supposed to deliver fairness to us.

The “Fairness doctrine” is just one more parallel between RATs and Nazis. The FD would be the RAT equivalent of “Night of the Long Knives”.

Yes, start where the balance is at it’s worst. Public TV & Radio etc.

Market driven broadcasts would be the last to look at because of their nature.

What the heck are they complaining about? Talk Radio did diddly squat to prevent them from taking the WH and Congress did it? These people have far too much time on their hands.

“...start where the balance is at it’s worst. Public TV & Radio etc.”

Exactly...they are most unfair because they are funded by taxpayers, most of whom are conservatives since we are now aware that liberals don’t pay taxes.

Exactly right. I had these guys pegged when I was in college: “Free for me but not for thee.” I just didn’t understand at the time how right I was.

Be sure to include entertainment in this. After all, the libs keep saying talk radio is entertainment, not news. So let's track every word said in movies, movie reviews, TV sitcoms, SNL, TV dramas, entertainment magazines, fashion magazines, and so on.

We need some of the Republican leaders, and even people like Rush Limbaugh, to come out and say about the “fairness doctrine”, that if the Democrats *dare* push that anti-first amendment crap on us again, when the Republicans get control of congress, they will *expand* that “fairness doctrine” to both television and Hollywood.

That’s right, Hollywood too. If a studio produces a movie by Michael Moore, they will have to spend just as much money to produce a movie by Ann Coulter! And this includes theater distribution.

Whenever the Oscars, or Emmys, MTV movie awards, or anything like that is broadcast, and some star blathers about how much they hate Republicans, then some Republican gets the same amount of air time during that show to say how much he hates Liberal Democrats.

And when Keith Olbermann rants that Republicans are “Nazis”, then they *have* to, BY LAW, allow someone like Michelle Malkin to have just as much time to call leftists names as well.

This is the message the Republican leadership must send. If the Democrats think we will tolerate their unfairness and cheating, they are wrong. If they abuse power, when they no longer have power, they had better expect payback IN SPADES.
