Governor Sarah Palin has vetoed $28.6 million in stimulus funds, the portion of the stimulus package that included a mandate for local governments to adopt federally defined building codes. If she had accepted this funding, it would have been an unconstitutional usurpation of power from local government. Governor Palin's position is that as Governor she does not have the authority, from a Constitutional standpoint, to infringe upon the power of the people and their local governments in community planning.

Seperating the “leaders” from the “followers”. Those governors who have a backbone are starting to show themselves.
GO SARAH!!!!
Go Sarah, go!!!!!
Another reason to like her.
What’s a Constitution?
Now this is leadership I can believe in!
I wish more Governors thought like her..Perhaps this country would have a chance. It’s a shame that the haters will always continue to bash and smear her without even bothering to look at the wonderful job she is doing in Alaska
Why is it possible that the federal government dictates building codes at the local level? Because local government allows it.
You can read the the Federal Building Energy Codes here.
I love Palin for 3 reasons:
She’s smart.
She’s tough.
She’ll make (makes) the libs squirm - and froth at the mouth.
And the MSM, while trying to discredit her, validates her.
I’d support her again if she tries in 2012.
I love her !!!
Ping for Sarah!
Gov Palin body checks BHO, Reid & Pelosi into the boards!
perfect
