UPDATE by RAM: The following statements were issued by Gov. Palin and Alaska's First Gentleman about Letterman's treatment of their 14-year-old daughter:
"Any 'jokes' about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too."
- Todd Palin
"Concerning Letterman's comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he'd ever dare make such comments about anyone else's daughter): 'Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/NY entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands - that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone's daughter, contribute to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.'"
- Governor Sarah Palin

Please go to the article. There is a list of sponsors that need to know that we are pissed off and are not going to take this crap anymore. Here is a chance to show our muscle.

David who? Seriously, I never watch late-night television. Why? Because I have a JOB which requires my early rising in order to support those too lazy to put forth any effort to better themselves, instead preferring to leech off those who do want to improve their lot.
Where is John Galt when you need him?

I sent my feedback to CBS and told them I would not support any sponsor's of shows produced by Letterman's Production Company.
I lmnow it's like spitting in the ocean, but what the heck.

This was an excellent response. Loved that they brought up Letterman's age.

Couldn't agree more.
But.... fighting fire with fire works too.
So, this is all hypothetical mind you, but if I made a joke about Letterman's half-witted, bastard son being recruited for a "Senate Page" job in Barney Frank's office - that would be funny .... right?
Maybe .... something about his "wife (??)" being awarded "Best of Breed" in a local dog show?
Maybe .... something about Dave and his partner hiring Cesar Milan for relationship counseling?
Think Dave would appreciate that cutting edge "comedy"?
To: curth
"... that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone's daughter, contribute to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others." Perhaps we should start calling him David "Roman Polanski" Letterman.
To: Rebel Wolf
Does anyone still watch Letterman except for stoned college kids and/or Hollywood types????? Ironic, considering that is the sum-total of his initial audience back when -- has he come full circle, then?
To: curth
AH - the left is still browning their underpants over Palin! That means that they correctly perceive her ability to rally normal people to get out and vote. The left doesn’t want to let go of the power that it obtained last November. Every little leftist knows his/her role - do everything possible to slime Palin.
And the more the left uses its slime machine, the more money I donate to causes that they hate, and resolve to vote for normal people every chance I get.
To: curth
Sarah and Todd should invite Letterman to visit them in Alaska. If he takes them up on the offer, lose him in bear territory...

Thanks for the list. I just stayed at a Best Western. I’ll keep the list, and try to remember to avoid any of them in the future. So tired of the Letterman turd. BTW, odd that Letterman seems to cast aspersions on women having children out of wedlock. He might want to keep his wife out of the stadium as well.
To: CARepublicans
I couldn’t agree more. Some things need to be answered or you are counted as in agreement. The Silent Majority, needs to speak in this small matter as well as in the larger matters related to the pretender. This is not really a small matter because if we don’t protect 14 year olds from this kind of abuse who will.
I sent this comment:
David Letterman’s comments about Willow Palin are completely over the line, over the top and disgusting. Anyone who could make such comments about a 14 year old girl should not be given a platform to say them to millions of people. This is a disgrace and CBS and all its advertisers should be boycotted. I will do my part as will the blogs and internet writers. This is a Don Imus situation; what is your response?

I would suggest that Todd Palin be invited onto the Letterman show so that Letterman can make the joke to his face.....yeah, I didn't think so.
To: Bringbackthedraft
Yes, I wonder what would happen there.
As for me, I can tell you that if I heard that kind of insult directed at any member of my family, I would not take it lightly, nor would such an insult go unmet.

I would have to respectfully disagree with that....
Some can be silent in their public outcry, but, still refuse to buy any products that CBS is sponsored by.
Same as the silent majority, we make our voices heard at the voting booth ....
The more David opens his mouth, the more of a fool he shows himself...

I think, that's what the libs, David, and the MSM is egging us to do, stoop down to their level.....
Best thing to do is let cBS know, who feeds them, their sponsors should feel the wrath.... and once cBS loses money because of David, they might just reel him in and have a little chat with him.
To: Prophet in the wilderness
If you follow that to it’s logical conclusion you will have to stop talking about politics and culture altogether. If you feel you must, ok, but it will mean the rest of us will have to take up the slack!

I’ve emailed all the VIPs and their feedback form with the message that Letterman is the last straw for me. I don’t watch See Bee Ess anyhow, I just figure this is the time to make that a lifetime committement. No matter what they have on their air, I won’t watch it, period. No loss, maybe if enough follow suit there could be some impact.
The only way our puny voices can be heard is if we all shout in unison.
Someone needs to make it easy to ping the PR contacts for all the Letterman advertisers, so we can show them how effective their ad buys are going to be if they continue to support people like Letterman who spew this garbage.

Amazing what passes for “humor” in their world.
To: curth
Don’t know if I could describe my feelings as anger, actually - more like disgust and alarm, like finding a dog turd on your living room carpet, and you don’t own a dog. I’m a long way from being an A-Rod fan but somehow I don’t think he’s laughing a lot either. Could be wrong...
To: brytlea
They ( the MSM, David ) are egging us on, or taunting us with a full frontal war and they expect us to do the same in return.
They don't care about MORALS, or decency, and they will just laugh and mock us and those who send them emails of disgust.
Just like the Radical Islamic terrorist, they respect power, and the thing that CBS and David will respect is the power of money or the lack thereof.... exspecially in this economic crises we are in....
For example, the NEW YORK TIMES,,, they are not laughing as hard as they once did a few years ago.
They are showing signs of cracking and are desperate to not go out of business, in spite of the fact that they are to delusional to realize what the problem is of why they are failing
Now, if I had a wife, yes, of course, I would defend her honor and we should defend Sarah, and yes, I am disgusted of what David has said about her.... but, they will just laugh at us and mock us, as with Crissy Mathews, and the MSM with the Tea Party Protesters by using the term in a vulgar manor.
The left CAN NOT be reasoned with, we can not fight them with a full frontal war as they are hoping us to do ....
What they understand is their money and power, and if they lose sponsors, they will get the message...
To: Prophet in the wilderness
I’m not really afraid of being mocked. They will mock me anyway.

or for that matter, where are the GOP geniuses from Washington who should be spinning this as Letterman being the voice of the Left and the Democrats ?
In the same fashion the opposition has cast Rush as the voice of the conservatives/GOP, the GOP should keep out there that Letterman speaks for all Democrats ... just pound it and pound it and pound it.
Did even ONE person in his left-leaning audience get up and walk out of the theatre when he made those statements? One ?

If we simply boycott and never tell anyone why we did it, the sponsors won’t have a clue what to chalk it up to. If one chooses not to use the voice they have, they don’t deserve to have one.
