Mark Sanford Is A Disgrace

What is it about politicians these days?

Is there some sort of magic elixir in the air that allows these people—regardless of political affiliation--the license to insult the intelligence of their citizens? Or is this some sort of natural “human flaw” that we—the idiots of the proletariat—are supposed to accept as some sort of acceptable characteristic of the people that are supposed to “represent us?”

Give me a freaking break.

^ Oh and he put on a sissy Dem act of trying to be “contrite”, heck John Wayne wouldn’t do that, he would take it like a man and live with the consequences and wouldn’t cry at all.

How stupid he is. After Spitzer and others - he has no clue. He had to know that any Repub has a bounty on their head and the Dems were looking for scalps for 2010. We are losing our country and this clown and Ensign have no clue. Yeah it is a double standard but the Dems are always looking for GOP scalps.

This clown should have chosen one or the other. Family and Gov job or girlfriend. I would not be suprised if the girlfriend was a DNC or Rahm setup. The girlfriend will disappear now. What a fool.

I hated Sanford for the “everybody who wants Obama to fail is an idiot” remark. But now I just feel sorry for him. Best to him and his family. Kind of pissed that he further sullied the GOP brand but...fine. No point kicking a guy when he’s down.

The majority of people in the US are crazy about Obama and they will follow him to their ruin.

>> The views coming from this dialogue are both shocking yet unsurprsing.

Here is a man that betrayed everything that conservatism ostensibly stands for, yet it is apparently okay with most.

WTF?

Go ahead, cast your stones on those comments. The more, the merrier, apparently. <<

I am ashamed of the sissy contrite act crap he tried to pull at the press conference, who does he think he is? Bill Clinton the II?? I am ashamed that he abandoned his state for several days for an affair...... If Reagan ever had a mistress he would take it like a man, admit it and reassure us all that it wouldn’t affect his job. His affair affected his job, and not just a little affected his job, but a LOT affected his job.

Well, so it seems (at least to me) we finally have the reason for him not wanting any Stimulus money. It wasn't for some high Republican moral attitude. It was so he wouldn't have to open the States Books and have people find out he had a Mistress. Governor, thy name is hypocrite! At least he didn't say..."It just happened." Had that line sprung on me, and my reply was..."No, sweetie. It didn't "just happen". 'Somebody' made a move, 'Somebody' responded to that move, your clothes did not magically fly off your body! Have relatives in SC who are so mad, they want Sanford impeached right now.

"And he held what public office?"

He was the de facto governor, a general during the French and Indian Wars, an ambassador of the United Colonies to the King of France, the first Postmaster General, a member of the Continental Congress from Pennsylvania, part author of the Declaration of Independence and that's just off the top of my head without doing an Internet search.

That's because the most all political groupies regardless of party, are some of the biggest GD hypocrites to walk the planet. They prove this on a daily basis.

What does conservatism have to do with Sanford's love/sex life?

What does a man's sex drive have to do with stopping Obamacare, Iranian nukes, taxes, etc?

Are you going to vote for a Democrat because the Gov of SC is a weakling?

I haven't read a single post the entire day that says this man is anything but a cad and a royal prick to his wife and constituents.

Remember....we do not know these people we elect, they are strangers to us, complete strangers.

When they disappoint, fail, betray...they lose their job and we move on.

Why all the angst?...it's unseemly and Oprah-like.

and have only weekly visitation rights with his 4 sons.

I'm a 60k a year schmuck and pay $900 a month for one kid. Imagine four kids at his imputed income.

It does not matter the least whether this type of cheating and lying is old or new.

Does the country feel that just because something was done before (and perhaps overlooked or ignored) that it should be accepted as the norm?

Did you hear the joke about the little black kid and the Jew?

Since those were old jokes, I guess they are okay now?

Yeah, right.

The hypocricy is astounding.

Of course not. I'm going to do what I always intended...vote for Sarah.

Lemme guess, you trust the individual that lies and cheats?

Ya think individuals that exhibit this type of character only lie and cheat on their wives, and are otherwise honorable individuals?

lol..

Wow, a rational post, I had given up hope, lol.

According to some here...still voting for a conservative AFTER Sanford means we are hypocrites and groupies.

Good lord...commie propaganda thru and thru.
