Now Will You Listen?
The Cypress Times ^ | 06/28/2009 | Bill Turner

I have been begging, pleading, cajoling and insisting you get active. Let me clarify the term active for you. Active is more than calling, writing, email and faxing. Active is getting in the street with protest signs. Active is going to your senators and representatives local office and demanding to see them, or speak with them directly on the phone. Active is being in their face, each and every day you draw breath. The list of Obama’s crimes against America is long and well documented, but here are some recent highlights of B. Hussein Obama’s systematic destruction of America.

Who are we, liberals? We’re never going to be active like that, without some exceptional emergency. And I’m not talking stock market crash emergency. I’m talking “Red Dawn” emergency.

Tough to argue with the truth. So, the 0bamunists don’t even try. They just ignore the realities crashing around us and continue on their merry march to marxism. They are convinced the socialist way is the correct way for ‘society’ without realizing the society is comprised of INDIVIDUALS.

This pretender to the office is dangerous to the future of America.

It’s time to take back the country.

If the Tea Party turnouts next month are not massive, and loud, the people of this nation probably aren’t worth saving.

This is a “Red Dawn” emergency. Cap and Tax, amnesty, and nationalized health care will destroy this country and the Dems control the government with large majorities.

I agree with his points on BO but I am tired of radio, tv talk show hosts and now columnists always claiming they told us so months or years ago and then admonishing people for not doing anything. Each time they scold us I think haven't these people been paying attention? Don't they see people are becoming more involved? Don't they understand tea parties are protests?

Turner then has the audacity to claim phone calls, emails and faxes don't count as active when those methods are one of many important methods to let Congress critters know we are becoming active. In the next sentence he contradicts himself by imploring people to make phone calls but he doesn't realize there is a brick wall called a staff between politicians and the people rendering any direct connection over the phone between the latter two groups impossible. These holier than thou self proclaimed crusaders are beginning to annoy me. Below is the link to another way people can get involved.

We have to learn to be radicals. If we continue to be the “quiet conservative”, then our days are numbered. The Obamunists know that this is a war of attrition. As they destroy the economy, we will picked off one-by-one as our jobs disappear and we have to go to their side just to feed our families and keep a roof over their heads.

Eventually, there won’t be enough conservatives left to matter.

I fear for our son who, at 17, is completely unaware of what is going on around him.

By the time he’s 25, it’ll be too late.

I’m going to D.C. in September.

Anyone else?

The country of America has been overun by greed, lewdness and lies which so many embrace as their personal god that reason will do little to these communists athiests whose main ambition is the destruction of the laws of God to be replaced by the bloodshed of liberalism and the democrats man is in the whitehouse and in the congress and the infected body of America is dead in sin.
We are a corrupt nation and God will destroy those who hate His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
The wicked forsake their own mercy.
Nevertheless, come Lord Jesus, rule and reign in the midst of all thine enemies.19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

it’s true, that that kind of activism is more effective now days.

that’s why we have a much harder row to hoe.

to do what you’re saying takes time and most of us have our time filled up with working to support the family.

the reason it’s easier for them is because they’re supported by us...welfare, college students, un-married, non-working spouses...they don’t have to take time from supporting their family because, significantly, we’re spending our time supporting them.

who is acorn made up of...working stiffs? hardly.

writing and calling and emailing and faxing is something that can be done while working. not as effective as spending time away from work waving protest signs, or going to my representatives office, but i have responsibilities...and that’s our achilles heel.

maybe, as more and more guys are let go from work and start collecting un-employment or welfare, we’ll see them being more active...................

September will be great but until people stop voting for these people it won’t change. Don’t be too sad when Fox, CSPAN, and all the others ignore the rally.

why is he unaware? why aren't you filling him in? we have kids at home who are 20, 17 and 14 and each one of them knows EXACTLY what is going on and are vocal to their friends about it. We live in NoVA, and I work in DC, so i will be here in Sept.

That is; Revalation 19:
19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Catholics and protestants need to read the word of God and understand that the Scriptures are literal and that many of todays churchs are apostate when they teach that the word of God is mystical and allegorical.
Jesus, who was crucified for our sins and rose again the third day for our justification to bring in the body of Christ to renewed relationship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit and Himself, overcoming death and hell and the grave and destroying the power of lucifer the devil who has the power of death, expects the people of God will worship Him as God and Saviour and no other.
Take heed to the Scriptures lest you die in sin.

It certainly seems that way by what is being suggested, this is “democratic government” and is bordering on anarchy. The only real solution is a political revival (probably preceeded by a spiritual one) that will place wise, honest and courageous people in office who respect/protect freedom and adapt policies that enhance prosperity and provide security.... the end results is up to the citizens.

“Turner then has the audacity to claim phone calls, emails and faxes don't count as active when those methods are one of many important methods to let Congress critters know we are becoming active.”
Congress doesn't seem to care one whit about phone calls, letters and emails. The outcry against every one of the “Obama” actions has been overwhelmingly against, and they have ignored the will of the people. Congress considers itself “above the people” and they are out of control. They have control of the money, media and apparently have bought and paid for the judiciary. Nothing less could explain how Obama can Unconstitutionally seize assets of private citizens and not one single lawsuit or legal action sees light of day. With the manipulation of Acorn of the census and the voter fraud we will never again see an honest election result in this country. So yes, Red Dawn has come and went without any shots fired. It's Red Afternoon now and I'm not seeing anything but apathy. While Congress conspires to take control of every aspect of our lives, the media's non stop focus is on “Michael Jackson”. The U.S. has been raped and pillaged during the last 6 months, and the majority does not even know it. But they probably know every detail of “American Idol” or the details of every other stupid “reality” show. They won't care until the utilities are shut off either due to the tremendous rise in costs or because they no longer have jobs.
Tea parties are going to continue to be ignored, no matter how loud and large they become. They will be infiltrated, they will be dismissed as the underhanded “organized” tricks of (fill in the blank) right wing extremists. And we will be ignored until we surround Washington with tens of millions.

They've annoyed me for years. In principle, constituent communication is supposed to be a primary means of self-governance. I am convinced that the USA ceased being a body of self-governing people a few generations ago, probably in the 1910's or 20's, but maybe as late as the 1960's.

Political leadership is in the game for pure self-serving reasons. I think the "open communications," "free speech," "free press" and "free elections" are mere pressure indication and relief devices. The leading class obtains feedback as to whether it is pushing too hard or too fast (but the leading class is relentless in pushing to demolish the power of the middle class and to make the US a sort of plantation), and it legitimizes its actions as being the will of the people (see free elections). The more the people talk, the more the action becomes legitimate.

I think the republic would be better off if the general public STOPPED wasting energy communicating with leaders, and caused the leaders to show their own hand. The leaders follow orders of well-heeled lobbyists, and rarely, if ever, change a position on account of public pressure. The Congress would really get the willies if the public suddenly dummied up. They watch the public like hawks, looking for signs of serious dissent (i.e., signs that the people have figured out that talk is pointless), all the while assuring the public that they (Congress) have a majority of free people supporting them, and thereby have the authority and power to fix what ails the country.

Every call, even those in dissent, adds legitimacy to Congress. They're so smart, let them act on their own. The principle of self-government is busted, and I, for one, quit pretending it works.

“It’s time to take back the country”

How do you propose that be done, you either do it at the poles or you do it in the street (force of arms), there is no guarantee of success with either method. I am beginning to believe that civil unrest, or outright conflict, is unavoidable but think we should comment to the first option and be prepared for the second ... be ready when the conflict comes.
