They are. They're a bit longer than bermuda shorts. Capris go down to the mid-calf.

I agree with you about Lands End. Good, traditional stuff. I have sweaters I bought there more than ten years ago that are still in style.

Maybe you’re thinking of leggings. They look like tights with no feet in them. Lots of women wear them with long tops. Men wear them when they’re bicycling or running.

I agree with you!!!!! WOMEN and GIRLS need POCKETS!!!! We have cell phones and credit cards and whatnot too. Why are our jackets empty inside while the guys get extra hidden pockets?

As for the capris argument, what does this blogger look like, and what does HE wear? Capris are much nicer than short shorts on anyone ever 25.

Some stores brought 'gauchos' back this season. They're as ugly as they were in the 70s, when culottes, their lower class cousins, were also in fashion.

but can't find any until this hideous hip-hugger fad blows over. I've yet to see a gal they are actually attractive on, but I KNOW it ain't me.

What's hilarious is the teenagers, even some who are not heavy, who wear the low rise pants, but STILL have a 'muffin top', that is, their belly pooches out above the waist of the pants. Makes me wonder if they even OWN a full length mirror.

What I want to know is how did this become a cool style?? I see this every single day and I don't even know how these guys keep their pants up at all. They all remind me of someone who was going potty when the phone rang and he had to run to get it.

Our daughter LOVES cargo pants, but it's almost impossible to find them for women. She's been known to order BDUs. ;o)

I always wait for their 'sales', and watch the Overstocks online to see if something I'd wanted earlier is now on sale.

'J Jill' is owned by Talbotts, I believe, and has some really cute styles, as well, as does Coldwater Creek. As with Land's End, I check the Sales and Clearance sections online for both those stores.

Here here! I hate them too. Unless you are a size 4 and 6’ tall they do not look good on you. I am so mad that they seem to be something that just won’t go away. Seriously I think they are joke inflicted on us by gay fashion designed who laugh when they see women looking like sausage casings in them!
