Damn, you beat me by 19 seconds.
Depends on the cut, if they taper they make the leg look longer. Wide bottom capris can make for a squished look depending on the associated shoe.
Well... it’s worked out pretty well for us so far... :-P
Capri pants. I know I’m dating myself here, but when I think of Capri pants I think of Mary Tyler Moore and the Dick Van Dyke show. Laura Petri always wore them. I seem to remember reading that the producers of the show would only allow Mary to wear them one time per episode..... as they were considered really pretty sexy for the times, the 1960’s.
This lady’s opinion, if you’ve got the figure for them they look fabulous. The problem is that most women don’t have the young Mary Tyler Moore’s wonderful body. I always HATED myself, my younger self, in them. “Do these make me look fat?”

This must have been written by a man or someone who is young.
I’m wearing capri pants right now. I’m too old to wear shorts, and it’s too hot to wear pants. Capri pants are the thing to wear!!!!
All hail blogging. Never before have such trivial thoughts been expressed with such passion.
Yeah, I think seeing Big Mama in a pair of shorts might be a little harder on the eyes than seeing her in capri pants. And I KNOW of what I speak, here! ;o)
My 14 year old must wear pants, shorts...w/ pockets. Otherwise she has no place to carry her pocket knife.
The chubby foot squeezed into that pump doesn't help the look, either. ;o)
absolutely. My girls had tons of things for their pockets.
We cripple young girls and women by not giving them pockets.
Why mountain bike when you can dance?
I heard that!! You have to look hard for a pair of pants that fit ‘at the waist’, anymore. When I’m looking through the Penney’s, Land’s End, or other womens’ clothing catalogs, I always look for that designation, and if it says “Modern Fit”, I KNOW it’s a ‘below the waist’ style.
OK, now you guys are just running up the score.
Go to Talbots. They have pants with higher waists.
Nah, heavier women can wear them, they just have to make sure that the pants don’t stop at the widest part of their legs. If you have fat calves, wear ‘cropped’ pants, instead, because they stop just above the ankle.
Now lets talk about men wearing shorts two sizes too big.
LOL! Me too. I guess I was raised in a poorer neighorhood back then. I didn’t eben know where Capri was.
I always heard capri’s called capri pants. I thought pedal pushers were shorter for bike riding. The things we think as kids. :-)
I go for the "classic fit" or "traditional fit," which usually sits at the waist or a smidgen below it. When are these way-below-the-waist styles going to die out?
Women get the short end of the stick when it comes to clothes. Men get better fitting clothes, more traditional styling so the clothes last longer, better color choices -- and they get it all CHEAPER!
Women have to pay more for less choice, and sometimes we pay for clothes we absolutely hate because we have no choice at all.
And then men complain that we spend too much money and wear crap...

With Pockets!!
Lands end is where women get decent tradtional clothes
