Obama invokes grandmother's death to support ObamaCare, but failed to attend her service

President Obama brought up his grandmother's death to convince people Democrats don't want to 'pull the plug' on the elderly.

You may remember Presidential candidate Obama left the campaign trail on October 24, 2008 to fly to Hawaii and visit his terminally ill grandmother, Madelyn Dunham.

Madelyn Dunham passed away two days before the election.

President-elect Barak Obama decided to rest in Chicago after his grandmother's death.

Madelyn Dunham was cremated. A memorial service was held on November 15, 2008, but Barack Obama and his close family members were missing.

Obama is a hypocrite; didn't he sell his Grandmother down the river during the campaign, by saying she is a “typical white person” or something to that effect. Now he's uses her illness/death to sell his Obamacare, how low will this guy go?

Thanks for posting that. I suspect the reason he blurted out that he would have paid her hip operation out of his own pocket- was the uneasy vibes he was getting from the interviewer. This from a man who hasn't sent $100 to any of his impoverished half siblings in Africa and has a stepmother and aunt (that we know about) living as illegal immigrants on welfare.

Obama makes his own grandma a case study for why the govt needs a panel using a formula to break the news to old folks that their health insurance will only offer a pain pill instead of getting the operation.

Personally I think he treads on shaky ground to bring up his Grandmother. His neglect and virtual imprisonment of her in her last year of her life is despicable and quite abnormal. Has anyone seen the death certificate? Were is her doctor on his healthcare reform plans?

Money and power mean more to this president than morality.

Funny the press never picked up on her leaving her apartment to go to the hospital for cancer treatment, hip surgery, etc ... or on hospice care coming to her

sure...it’s fairly obvious what happened.....a woman well enough to be living in her own apartment up to that point in time and “grandson” magically shows up just in time for her death....no hospice and only perhaps some home care and/or a professional live-in assistant?

My apologies to the herpetologists reading FR today for any misunderstanding. I meant no offense, but in my defense, please take note of the fact that I didn't say full-blooded reptile, Sparko. I said half-reptile.

And unlike the progeny of interspecies breeding which tend to bear the superior traits of both dissimilar parents ('hybrid vigor', I think they call the phenomenon), it seems that Stanley Anne Dunham's rather unfortunate association with her reptilian partner resulted in her eldest-born offspring presenting the worst traits of both parents. He seems to be as racist a neanderthal as any of the most vile 'typical white persons' whom Barack Obama would himself condemn, and simultaneously as cold-blooded & lazy as his paternal genetic heritage would confer.

Indeed, there exists now the distinct possibility that someday our Reptilian-American POTUS shall come to be known as genetic science's first documented examplar of 'hybrid malformation'. ;-)

That's what it was all about. Getting rid of the documents. Though it does beg the question of why someone else (In the Dem Machine) couldn't have done it. There are plenty of Democrat Stazi dirty trick people who could have taken care of a few documents. I think the problem was still to convince the HI government to go along with it, and that required a personal appearance.

Yeah, I know: tin-foil hat stuff. But the whole incident was so unnatural. To "go see your dying grandma", and then not go see her two day when you arrive. Bizarre.
