FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

No - 81.3%.

IMHO frustration by citizens about illegal alien coverage hasn't begun to leave its negative mark on Obamacare. It is highly combustible fuel to the fire already burning about this proposed legislation. Obama has obligation to LaRaza (thev're been involved in meetings thus far), therefore the inclusion of illegal alien coverage. The economy, the fine tuning of American companies to keep solvent with the subsequent ever growing number of unemployed Americans, and the funding of abortions in addition to nondisclosure of the FACTS of this plan are not addressed by democrats, except in broad / vague terms.

Politicians who refuse to peronsally conduct town hall meetings and who insist upon telephone meetings instead, deserve to get their next vote via telephone, and not in person as well! (the voting booth is the one place we can hopefully be guaranteed "choice)."

Here's another example of "federal" healthcare:

Statement of National Congress of American Indians Testimony on

Snippets:  Indian Health Service (IHS), the agency tasked to uphold the Federal government’s obligation to provide health care to American Indians and Alaska Natives, largely provides primary, onsite treatment. Coverage varies widely among Indian health programs and should not be assumed to be equivalent to the defined benefits packages of private insurance[10]. In fact, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey, individuals who solely report IHS health coverage are classified as uninsured.

Throughout America, health care is a top priority.  It is widely accepted that high-quality health care is a necessity, not a luxury.  In Indian Country, even the most basic health care is a luxury and high-quality health care is usually not even an option.  Most tribal communities cannot easily access health care services and, even when services are available, they are often subject to decades-old, outdated practices and services.

The United States has a longstanding trust responsibility to provide health care services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. This responsibility is carried out by the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services through the Indian Health Service. Since its passage in 1976 the Indian Health Care Improvement Act (IHCIA) has provided the programmatic and legal framework for carrying out the federal government’s trust responsibility for Indian health. The need for this reauthorization is clear. The American Indian and Alaska Native population is the most negatively impacted by health disparities and suffers from chronic diseases and other illnesses at a rate disproportionate to that of the mainstream population.
