This idea of freedom of speech is going to far with this Tea Party Express. White people in RV driving from city to city disrupting the townhouse meetings. Everyone wants and needs healthcare but the wealthy wants tax cuts, they can pay for healthcare for themselves and others. It won't stiphened their income. I think President Obama's Healthcare reform is great it allows people who can't afford healthcare to have it. That what the Hatians do. It's not socialism it's called taking care of your country so we can stand strong against the enemy. This capital government is a mess, Let me get mines and bump everyone else. WHERE IS YOUR HEART?

Straw curls. It's done by wrapping each little section of hair around a length of drinking straw.

I fixed Elen’s hair to go trick-or-treating. She’s Hermione Granger, so she’s supposed to have bushy hair ... but Elen’s hair is naturally dead straight. I sprayed it and scrunched it over and over, right-side-up, upside-down and sideways. Now it’s bushy, but it will take major washing to get it back to normal.

It takes hours, even for short hair, and it doesn’t stay styled like braids do.

Don’t forget pictures. In the age of digital cameras and internet friends, you have no excuse.

Oh, too true! I’ll have Bill take pictures; he’s taking Darth Vader around the block right now, but he’ll probably be back before the girls are.
Tom and his friend Patrick are going ice skating, but the rink doesn’t open for the public until 8:00. Hockey games earlier, I guess.

I am so sympathetic with Elen... I have/had six siblings, and all of them have wavy/curly hair. Because my hair is so straight, and my complexion so olive, I thought for years that I was adopted.
I was dark, they had red hair and freckles; I was tall, they were short; my complelxion was unflawed, theirs was debatable.
Still, I found I had moles in the same places my mother had, and bodily structures from my father.
I am, therefore, satisfied that I am Me, and you are not!

I agree you’re not Me!
The desperately curly hair must be recessive, because Pat is the only one of nine children who’s got it, unless Frank turns up looking like a poodle in a few years. Tom and Elen have darker skin than the others, either from my Mom or my father-in-law, the Cherokee side.

Yepper. My coloring and hair texture are from my mother’s side...Commanche and Sioux. The red is from the Irish/Scots on my dad’s side. I tan but don’t freckle; if I add curly stuff to my hair preparations, it will wave; my eyes are green, not brown like my mother’s nor blue like my dad’s.
I can say with an absolute fact, that I am proud to be a “Mongrel!” LOL!

That would be informative! I don’t know any Egyptians here, since I’m not belly dancing. We have Eritreans in our subdivision; they go to our church. They won’t attend the Ethiopian Orthodox church for political reasons, as well as denominational differences!
