Exactly!

Why would a Conservative give money to an obviously Leftist organization.

Would those of you who cannot give up the NFL be fine with more control by the Socialist Ideologs?

Take your money you were going to spend on the NFL and donate it to some real Conservative candidates or causes.

This NFL is just a game. What happened to Rush is another example of the AMERICAN way of life ceasing to exist.

Well at least they can hold their heads high that they stopped that racist from poisoning their team with a hugh influx of cash. /s/
I guess these mental midgets don’t realize that there won’t even be enough paying fans at the game to fill a school bus. Their stadiums are going to be awfully quiet.
Hey NFL and the St Louis lambs: Fans fund your operation.
Real smart, piss off the fans.

I heard about him being dropped on the way into work this morning and it pissed me off so bad!! The ones that made the decision to drop Rush from the group have no nuts! The only person in this country (as far as politics goes)that has any balls is Sarah Palin.

I’ve watched my last NFL game and I let them know it last night via email.

Good on you !!!! If people really enjoyed the game, they would watch college games, much more intense.

Correct, if the NFL doesn’t need you or your opinions, why give them your money?

“Many of the owners are BIG Liberals”

Most of them were too cowardly to oppose Rush publicly, but Jim Irsay, owner of the Colts, stepped up to the PC plate to say he would vote against any group that included Rush. Good team, bad owner.

Yeah Irsay Jr got to #347 on the Forbes richest list by sucking from the taxpayers in Indy.
Now we have a $700 million stadium we can’t afford to operate.

This is the entire NFL, my friend...not just the Rams.

Screw 'em all. I'm done.

That girl who pees her pants on stage--singer for the Black Eyed Peas--just got approved to own a piece of the Miami Dolphins.

But Rush, a thoughtful and entertaining man, cannot.

I am so sick of the hypocrisy.

The only reason Jim Irsay has a team is that his father left it to him. And the people of central Indiana got the privilege of paying for Jim Irsay’s new football stadium.

Screw the Rams. Boycott the whole damn league.

The NFL lost me back when a bunch of grown men who are highly paid to play a friggin' game went on strike.....

In a Sports Illustrated article, Irsay denounced his parents for being Jewish and used an anti-semetic slur. So I guess that’s okay.

I used to be a huge baseball fan. After the lockout (1994?) and the cancelled World Series, I found I could adjust to life without baseball, and never regained my interest.

I haven’t been an NBA fan for years, as the college game is a better display of pure basketball (I always thought a dunk should only count 1 point, as anyone can do it if you are tall enough, whereas a 3-point shot takes real skill).

I don’t see any reason the NFL couldn’t go down the same path....

I never liked the Rams anyway. Now I dislike them even more. Besides, who has ever seen a Ram in Missouri outside of a zoo? They should have stayed in California.

Hey now, it's not the fault of the Rams! This has been all trumped up by the looney left.I am a Rams fan (even in these tough times) and I will remain a fan as long as they are here.

Ever see a Lion in Detroit or a Bengal in Cincinnati? A Bear in Chicago or a Saint in New Orleans? And I'd bet you'd be pretty hard pressed to find a Patriot in Boston these days!

Yeah Irsay Jr got to #347 on the Forbes richest list by sucking from the taxpayers in Indy.

Irsay runs a good team and a good franchise, and he--along with the club--are an asset to the city. Besides that the Colts run a tight ship, don't employ thugs, wife beaters, or drug addicts, Irsay is very vocal about his Christian beliefs and his application of those beliefs to the management of his franchise, and it shows. I disagree, and was a little surprised by Irsay's statements about Limbaugh, but that doesn't make him a bad owner.

I'm not sure how many of the Indy posters on this board lived in the city prior to say, 1980, but the change that Indy has gone through, in large part to Mel Simon, the Irsays, and Fred Glass, is nothing short of remarkable. You really don't hear "Naptown" much anymore, and there's a reason for that.

I was disappointed that Irsay played hardball with the city over the money for the stadium, but Irsay is running a business, not a charity, and if the city is willing to fork over the money, I can't really blame him for trying to get it. Heck, Tony George never took a nickel of the city's money to run IMS, but that doesn't stop everyone and his brother from putting him down.

Disappointing, but great owner and critical to the city. Wouldn't trade the Colts for any team in the NFL--or, really, any professional sports team.

Well Rush isn’t too smart trying to be part owners in a dreadful team in these economic times that are only going to get worse

He is better off putting his $$$ in the Cayman Island banks if they even take American $$$ anymore

In another aspect maybe he figures his $$$ isn’t going to be worth diddly with the coming inflation and wanted to get something with it that would have value if things ever got turned around

In any case anybody with any real idea of how things are and aren’t fooled into believing the Great Rush can do anything had to see this coming

I posted over a week ago when it was first posted here and so many posters were giddy with the thought of him being a part owner that he had ZERO chance of it being approved and couldn’t see why he didn’t realize that

But maybe he figured what did he have to lose by trying

In a sense that was a good thing since he brings the issue front and center

I’m with you all the way. Of course, to me as a Baltimorean, the most offensive creep in the whole NFL menagerie is that Irsay punk. Who the hell is an Irsay — any Irsay — to lecture other people on decency and civility?

And please don’t tell me it was his father, not him who savaged and raped Baltimore. That little punk has his father’s vile blood flowing through his veins. And if he had one ounce of decency and civility, he would long ago have apologized to the city of Baltimore and given us back our team’s name. Instead, when we got a CFL team and used the name we had originated, that vile little vermin sued to stop us from using it.

No one, but no one (perhaps, with the exception of Walter O’Malley) showed such disdain and indecency towards those around them as the Irsays. So, shut the hell up Jimmy boy until you show that you can walk the talk, you little b**tard.

Frankly, I’d like to get just 10 minutes in the same room with that punk. The first eight minutes of the beating would be for the broken-hearted Colt fans I grew up with; the last eight for Rush and every other conservative across the country.
