8:28 PM - Internal exit polls showing very good signs for Christie in NJ, most importantly Christie is running very strong independents. With indies breaking overwhelmingly for Christie, it could spell trouble for Democrat Corzine. It stands to note that the Democrats have a very strong coalition, so the sway of indie voters may not influence the as strong as it did in Virginia. However, CNN exit polls suggest that most voters - 38 percent - "said the quality they were looking for most in a candidate was the ability to bring change and most of them said they had voted for the Republican candidate."

Another round of exits likely to come in soon. Stay tuned...

I think it bodes well that McDonnell is going to win by about 7-8% more than what the final polls said.

When do they count the absentee ballots? I heard on some pundit show that NJ had a tremendous amount of absentee ballots sent out unsoliticed. That makes me nervous.

If Christie, an at best middle tier candidate, takes NJ by anything approaching double digits, the sound you will be hearing is Democrats and liberal republicans crapping their pants all over the country.

The Check Cashing Offices just closed so ACORN will be on the job now. Watch for Corzine to start closing the gap.

I would venture a guess that the illegal vote would the same as the dead vote.

The question is though which way did the dead vote break.

Cemeteries always vote for Democrats.

“There was an earlier article with as much as 180,000 last minute Absentee ballots requested...”

Ya know..there’s easily 1.8 MILLION conservative ...assign 10 each to “proof” a ballot....that’d be the last ballot box stuffed by a Dem for a LONG time....

Big news from my perspective is that Christie won Bergen County, which went big for Obama, Clinton, and Gore, and went for Corzine and McGreevey. I like to say that he who wins Bergen wins the state, but we still have Essex, Camden, and Passaic counties to count. It is (for me) too close to call.

Let me tell you about Florida (New Jersey) politicians. I make them, I make them out of whole cloth, just like a tailor makes a suit. I get their name in the newspaper. I get them some publicity and I get their name on the ballot. Then, after the election, we count the votes, and if they don’t turn out right, we recount them again until they do –Edward G. Robinson to Humphrey Bogart in Key Largo
