Greeting fellow freepers. I am looking for any advice you can offer as I plan a family vacation to southern Germany. Looking at the end of November or first part of December. Not a lot of time to plan so I am open to all your input
I was in Germany exactly 28 yrs ago, too.. We visited Oberammergau where the Passion Play is performed. We missed it by a year, but it was still fascinating to see the stage. The towns Frescoes make it a must see.
GREAT STUFF !! Thank you all ! I orginially posted this from my blackberry and I have not figured out how to paste my ping list to a post from my blackberry. I finally got a real internet connection to ping this message out. Looking forward to more input.
I realy want to visit southern Germany, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. Anyone have any inside info on Liechtenstein?
BTTT
You would do well to visit the Armed Forces Recreation Center at Berchtesgaden and the other sites there, if they’re still open.
When we were at Edelweiss, we took a 3-country bus tour from the lodge that included Lichtenstein, Switzerland, and Austria. It was a day-trip during the summer. I’m not sure it would be advisable or if they would have the trip during the winter, but you could check.
You MUST make a day-trip to a little place in Austria called Halstatt. Look it up and see the pictures. You won’t regret it.
Can’t help you here Dave, but hope you can pull a great vacation off. Stay safe.
