I live in California and I’m voting for Chuck DeVore in the primary. I’m voting for the person who shares my values. Carly is not that person.

fiorina is a moderate, but smart and not at all like boxer and my guess she has an excellent chance of beating boxer. devore has zero chance. Your pick.

My thoughts exactly. Why worry about whether she is conservative or moderate when you are comparing her to Barbara Boxer?

Why, yes. Let’s make sure another Democrat wins, just to show the GOP who’s boss. You idiots.

Moderate Republicans are the slow death of America and liberal Democrats are a faster death of America

It's a little more complicated that that.
We can both be in agreement that we would rather have true conservatives than moderates. There's no debate about that.

But I hope we can agree that true conservatives cannot win in certain places, like for example New York City or San Francisco. New York is a little saner than SF because it's been through more hell than SF. But both cities are filled with lunatics. They are filled to the brim with left wing socialists and worse. They have many minorities who want government handouts above all else and these types don't have a clue about what it takes to be a citizen of a constitutional republic.

So my stragety would be this. Let's elect the true conservatives in places where we can. We can get real conservatives like Senator Sessions of Alabama or many other from the South, parts of the mid-west, and some of the Rocky Mountain States. We aren't going to get true conservatives from New York (statewide) or California (statewide) or Massachusetts (anywhere). These are the lunatic states. The best we can hope for are moderates from CA and NY. Massachusetts is beyond redemption.

As a Reagan - Palin Conservative, you have really reached on your scenario.

The first area I look at is where the person stands in support of the war declared against us by the IslamOfascists.

There are fake Conservatives
who are really Libertarians such as Ron Paul whose views are more in line with the anti war liberals

Not sure who Carly donated to. Was a big backer of McCain. Big surprise there/sarc.

DeVore is a good person but will not win as Senator against Boxer.

He would do better to run for a House seat in his county

I'm voting for DeVore as well. But if he should lose to Fiorina, I will do my damndest to work for Fiorina. Boxer must be defeated. She's done enough damage already.
I'd encourage you to vote for Fiorina if that's the way it goes. You could make a contribution to a conservative in another state. If for example Marco Rubio were to upset Crist in Florida you could give a little money that you could spare to Marco. That's what I'm going to do.

She’s pro-life, signed a no-taxes pledge and opposes the Dems’ health plan. Yet you call her a “RINO”.

Typical idiot mindset that will keep us from running a competitve race against Boxer.

I would give you some on that point.

Joe Lieberman is a good senator becuase of that and Rudy Giuliani would make a good one on fighting the war against Islamofascists.

But my view of the way the terror war is being fought right now and this goes back to Bush and into Obama is that Pakistan is being kid gloved.

Our guys get a beating in Afghanistan and the bad guys have a safe haven in Pakistan.

What made Vietnam so lousy was that Johnson-Nixon etc. all held back out of fear of nuclear war with the Soviets.

Haiphong harbor was off limits and Nixon only bombed it for a few days to seal the Paris peace deal that eventually failed.

I smell the same deal in Afghanistan with Pakistan’s nuclear weapons creating the fear of striking back at Taliban-Al Quaeda safe havens.

"(I see that she solved the hair issues with this hair cut?).

Well actually her hair is not the result of a "cut", but the after effects of chemotherapy following her breast cancer diagnosis in February of this year."
