This office offers no opinion on the merits of the controversy regarding President Obama’s eligibility to hold office. Instead, we wonder why the President hasn’t put an end to the controversy.
Amidst all the speculation, conspiracy theories, and lawsuits surrounding President Obama’s original birth certificate, one obvious and valid question seems to stand out no matter which side of the debate one is on: why doesn’t he just produce it? (And why hasn’t anyone asked him this?)
The President has fought production of his original birth certificate in numerous lawsuits. In one, a U.S. Army Reserve major from Florida argued that his order to deploy to Afghanistan was potentially illegal because the President’s eligibility to hold office has not been confirmed.
Instead of confronting the issue directly, the military revoked the soldier’s deployment orders. These facts have added considerable fuel to the ongoing suspicion and debate.
Everyone appears to agree that President Obama’s original birth certificate (not the short-form Certificate of Live Birth that has been produced) would end the controversy and the lawsuits and quiet the so-called “birthers” once and for all.
Are we missing something here?
We want to hear from you. Please explain below why you think President Obama has not produced or should not produce his original birth certificate. Please vote to the left.

He was indeed born in Hawaii, and it does say so on his birth certificate.....but there is something else on it that he does not want to be known.
This citizenship issue is a constant scratch to relieve an itch when the real issue of concern is what Obama is doing to destroy our sovereign nation as an elected POTUS (elected legally or not).

I think he won’t produce the long form because it contains information that he considers embarrassing. I cam’t imagine what it is other than something that would discredit his autobiography.
Producing the long form will not resolve the controversy anyway.
LOL! Scuttlebutt has it there’s one being manufactured, complete with folds, signature stamp and seal. He just has to go to Hawaii to collect it.

The controversy works to Obama’s advantage, having nutters challenge you creates the appearance that much of his opposition is comprised of nutters and can be dismissed without the need to confront them. Why would any politician want to eliminate those who discredit themselves and in the process discredit other opponents?

You can’t produce what doesn’t exist. He’s a liar and a fraud. Nancy knew it from the beginning and she’s not about to take the fall.
Several news articles about the 2008 U. S. presidential election published in the African press, as well as a Chicago area newspaper article commenting on OBH’s election to the U. S. Senate, and all cited and linked in posts to FR, have described OBH as “Kenyan born.”
Were these reports liver sausage, or mythical?

With all that he is trying to do to the American People his numbers should be much worse, it may well be that the birthers are giving him a boost.
I doubt the “Birther” controversy is really helping Obama any. His poll numbers are very bad for just 11 months in office. You can expect obama to see his polling number crater into the 30s by early next year.
One thing is certain, the birthers are not hurting Obama in the least.
Comments like yours amaze me. So, just because I want to know things about Obama that we know about every other president or candidate means I discredit myself? In case you missed it, the media did not vet this guy at all; period. This guy is not just hiding his birth records but also his school records, college transcripts, college entrance paperwork, travel documentation and other things. Why would anybody honest have all that information sealed and hidden from the voters and then spend millions to keep it that way? The public know Bush’s, Kerry’s, Clinton’s and Gore’s life story, GPA and even grades in particular classes but we know nothing about this guy. Why does he get to hide stuff that nobody else is allowed to? I did not ask for this idiot to be president so I think it is only fair that I know exactly what kind of scum represents me. Everybody knew everything about GW; why do you feel I should have to take this moron on his word? I do not know what B Hussein Obama is hiding but I suspect he is hiding something, otherwise why go through all this? The question I have is why do you think it is ok for BHO to hide all of his information from the voters? Do you think everybody else who runs for President from now on should be able to conceal similar info too?
Most Presidents have gotten away with hiding information from the public. Neither Clinton nor Kennedy would release their medical records because they had things to hide. People don’t vote for the real person, they vote for the image that he manages to portray. It would be nice if voters took the time to fully vet Presidential contenders but history demonstrates otherwise.
In your opnion then the rising number of people who believe that he has a problem with do not reflect his rising unpopularity and there’s no connection between the two? That does not make a whole lot os sense. It seems you are speculating without evidenitary support.
Voters do not have the resources to vet a candidate on their won, that is supposed to be the media’s role. Clinton and Kennedy may not have released their medical records but we did know where and when they were born, where they traveled to internationally and how they did in school. I think that information is vital to vetting a candidate. How is a voter supposed to vet Barry if that information is not available?
His long form BC from Hawaii has NO mother or father’s name on it...therefore, it is a worthless document.
Take over the Healthcare industry and make healthcare decisions for the people instead of allowing them the freedom to make their own decisions, regulate any activity that produces CO2, spend us into oblivion, undermine the effort to fight al Qaeda, and run around the world telling everybody how bad America has been--especially the former President George W. Spending money on lawyers is not fighting the birthers when a failure to respond could result in a default judgement.
Voters evidently felt they had enough information or they were certain that McCain would be worse. Don't ask me to explain an Obama voter, I worked on McCain's campaign even though I disliked him and his gutting of the First Amendment through McCain-Feingold. I had enough information to know that Obama would be a catastrophe for our country even without seeing his birth certificate.

Is it just to prove he is special and does not have to produce the same documentation any genuine American kid has to produce to play little league ball or get a driver’s license? Do you believe Obama is on the level and not hiding something by sealing all his records?
Sure Obama is hiding things but what is important is the policies that is implementing. Other than the secretive meetings with congress and the shear length and complexity of the bills the American people have an idea of what he is doing. Concentrate on that instead of wasting time on trivia like his birth certificate, the time to challenge that was while congress was certifying the votes of the electors and supposedly assuring that a candidate had qualified.

I think that you failed to understand the comment or I failed to understand your prior response, you said Obama was fighting the birthers because he had spent money on lawyers. I said that the lawyer fees weren’t really fighting the birthers but showed his concern for what might happen if he did nothing.
He would not be able to push more policies if he was proved to be ineligible and removed from office.
Not going to happen because the courts lack jurisdiction and any desire to get involved, congress already passed on their opportunity and won't revisit it.
Even if it happened it would tear this country apart because the allegation would be racism had brought Obama down and most all blacks, minorities and foreigners would believe the charge no matter the evidence.

The longer Obama stays in office the quicker this country will fall to the communists, bankers and/or Islamists. Race won’t matter. BTW there is a suit filed in Washington, DC to determine indirectly the court’s jurisdiction. Claire McCaskill tried her best to validate Obama like they did McCain (Senate Judiciary) but could not, and refused to expose him because of party loyalty. Hillary knew, but she refused to expose him and consequently lost the nomination.
