the absolute, best endorsement possible of Sarah Palin is the vituperation emanating from inside the Beltway and the MSM.

the prospects of one of the unwashed and unannointed one having any meaningful say about what goes on around the Beltway Trough is giving the East Coast the heebie-jeebies...

Steve Schmidt...this so-called political strategist is neither credible or reliable...why else would McCain have been beaten so handily by a socialist community organizer.

The truth is in the results, not the post-failure words. Just another “hanger on” looking for his 15 minutes of fame.

I hope so too. Everything he’s done in the past has always been a failure.

In 1995, Steve Schmidt managed Will T. Scott’s unsuccessful campaign for attorney general of Kentucky. Later, in 1998, Schmidt ran Tim Leslie’s unsuccessful race for lieutenant governer of California. That year he was also the Communications Director for the unsuccessful U.S. Senate campaign of Matt Fong.

WHAT A LOSER!

To 6 - It’s only a “big question” in your little world. A lot of Freepers have the mental maturity of a fifteen year old.

I hope that we folks here in AZ throw McCain to the Gilas but I certainly can understand why Sarah Palin would “back him” with a contribution. She strikes me as very loyal and, after all, John McCain put her in the national spotlight...for the wrong reasons, I believe....but he did make her known. I think Sarah P. has difficulty believing that McCain is a sleezeball. She is too young to know him except during her lifetime...those of us older know him all too well for more years than she has been around. I can’t abide him and want him out but I can forgive her for supporting the man who seemingly supported her.

It is a "big question" to me because I live in the real world. John McCain supports amnesty, which will destroy this country with the stroke of a pen. I belong to a grassroots immigration group and I lobby on the Hill and in Richmond on this issue. For me, it is an issue of national survival.

Sarah Palin has yet to recant her pro-amnesty Univision statements on the issue. She has donated money to the McCain reelection campaign. If she endorses McCain in the primary, I can't and won't support her if she runs in 2012.

She is going to have to choose principle over loyalty if she wants my support. Re loyalty: Right after the race, McCain made some less than supportive comments about her political future.

This has less to do with McCain being a "sleezeball" and more about what he stands for. His views are disastrous for the GOP and conservatives.

I agree....she is going to have to differentiate herself from people like McCain. I totally agree. On the other hand, I am having a difficult time believing...truly believing...that we have elected ALL of those people in Washington who actually want to destroy our country...one expects our leaders to be quality but they are not...and will not ever be. I am cynical and I can’t believe what is happening. If I can’t assimilate all that is going on then I don’t criticize those slow learners...as long as they LEARN!!....hopefully, she and/or her advisors are making her well aware of her needed position when it becomes necessary to make her platform known....BTW....sleazeball: a shady, coarse, or immoral person....which fits John McCain to a “T”. He is a sleazeball!

Is Anderson Cooper one of the reporters on 60 minutes now? I haven’t watched it for a while.

I just caught the end of the 60 minutes report and Schmitt admits they would have lost big without Sarah.
