Congresswoman Donna Edwards of Maryland introduced today a constitutional amendment bill to overturn the US Supreme Court’s recent ruling allowing unlimited corporate money in elections. Congressman John Conyers, Jr. of Michigan, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, is a co-sponsor of the amendment bill.

conservative Republicans can hold elected
office.
And, liberal Democrats can’t drive cars

The chance of any amendment being approved by 3/4 of the state legislatures is close to zero. You could try to change the minimum age for a Congressman from 25 to 24, and they still wouldn’t pass it.
Here is the text of the amendment:
‘‘SECTION 1. The sovereign right of the people to govern being essential to a free democracy, Congress and the States may regulate the expenditure of funds for political speech by any corporation, limited liability company, or other corporate entity.
‘‘SECTION 2. Nothing contained in this Article shall be construed to abridge the freedom of the press.’’.

Conyers what an idiot to endorse this constitutional unamnedment. wants the DOJ civil Rights Division to investigate the death of the supposed Imam in Detroit by excessive force by the FBI. Gee what other stupidity will Conyers endorse now. he is already down in the polls. His wife monica is getting ready to serve some time in the federal pen. Maybe Conyers is prepping himself to join her there as a traitor.

I don’t see how this supreme court decision is going to make our election system worse than it already is with the corrupt media pushing an agenda they disavow at every turn (just who moderated the debates and framed the campaign issues in 2008).
If millions of illegal foreign contributions received by the past 4 Democrat presidential campaigns is not an issue to pursue, and ACORN is not, then domestic corporate lobbying is not.
