I think that was the original plan at GE, but since they’re trying to sell NBC, they may be tired of flushing money keeping MSNBC as a propaganda outlet.
Olbermann was a sportscaster out here in L.A. when Hank Gathers died on the court playing basketball. Hank was an intern at the station where Keith worked...but you would have thought that he was Keith’s son or brother by the way Olbermann carried on for days and weeks during his broadcasts. It got very weird/creepy real fast...and, then, he just kept going. It was a sad situation, but Gather’s mother held it together better than Olbermann.
It appears that he must get something out of people feeling sorry for him. It’s pretty morbid and weird.
