Scandal-plagued Rep. Charles Rangel, long a target of the right, fired back Wednesday at conservative opponents of health care - likening them to racist foes of civil rights.

These assholes just never get tired of playing the race card, do they? FOrtunately it is getting so worn and frayed that it just doesn’t work anymore. FUBO!
LOL- these guys forget their history, don’t they? (OK, they never learned it in the first place...)
Weren’t the staunchest foes of the Civil Rights Act of the mid 60’s Southern DEMOCRATS?
I can’t decide if these people are just incredibly stupid, trying on purpose to destroy this country, or a mixture of both.
thanks for the laugh!
Hey, Rangel - read my tag.
Charles Rangel is an open tax cheat who writes the federal tax code and thinks nothing of raising taxes or imposing new fees on the “little people” who, unlike the “Chairman” follow the law and pay them.
The only tool the Dems have used since Obama's election (and before) is ad hominem attack.
One of the oldest and most tellings rules of debate is that when one side makes personal attacks against the other, it is because HE KNOWS HE HAS NO OTHER DEFENSE!!!
REMEMBER THIS POINT!!!
The Dem's would use rational argument and logic to defend Obama and the HCB...but there isn't any.
We can win this argument if we keep reminding ourselves and the voters of this.
Being from the south and all ... I’m getting really, really tired of their racist remarks and their constant comments about the south. Starting to get me irritated .... :-)
The race card is the last resort of the criminal, the incompetent, the lazy, the scum who make a living playing it.
Put Charlie in there anywhere you like.In fact I believe he fits the bill entirely.
Which means that in reality, ObamaCare and Rangel are the real racists!!!
auboy likens Charles Rangel to criminal activity and rampant falsehoods.
I oppose the monstrosity called Obamcare. So I am a racist? To label someone as a racist, when he is not, is like calling someone...a tax cheat.
I liken Charlie to Boss Hogg.
How about a tax that only affects people that are light-skinned? Yeah, how about that?
What if you guy's placed a tax only on something dark-skinned people used? You would be marching in the flipping streets!!
Oh yeah...the tax you've imposed ONLY on light-skinned people is the tanning bed tax!!
You racist moron!!
I'm a Southerner also and have many Black friends (my next door neighbors are a very nice black family and I even helped them find the house when it came on the market) and this really p!sses me off also.
OTOH, the opposition knows such accusation rankles and that is exactly what they are trying to do.
The best thing to do is just handle it with a cool and logical response (i.e. "are you sure you aren't projecting your own racism on us...we object to Obama and his plans purely on logical grounds...we don't like his policies!").
“Rep. Charles Rangel likens conservative foes of health care reform to racist”
Yeah, and I liken Tax-Cheat Charlie to one of Robert Mugabe’s racist thugs. So we’re even.
Yep that’s the new Demonrat talking point. Chrissy ‘tingles’ Matthews, the pundits, the black Caucus,....all saying the same thing...
They keep diluting the meaning of the word ‘racist’ to the point where it is a completely meaningless accusation.
