Flame me all you like but I am not 100% pleased with contenders in 2012 that CNN could not wait to post that are supposedly dead even with Obama. (Ron Paul tied with Romney, I believe) We all know this is garbage (as far as Obama winning) and possibly the GOP contenders standings as well; as Obama is worse than Carter and polls show he will lose to Barney Fife.
Of Palin,Romney,Paul,Gingrich; SO FAR... I favor Ron Paul.
I have heard over the years Ron Paul was a nutcase. So...I did a little research and he is NOT a 9/11 truther. Other than his foreign policy of bringing all troops home -now- he is on the money.I can live with this.
He is an isolationist and this is somewhat what we need right now. He wants us cut off from the U.N. and all other foreign entities. He want the IRS done away with... Sounds good to me. He is a fiscal conservative that so far appeals to the very important Independent/conservative vote; of which I belong.
I like Gingrich but will the GOP ever really change? Logic prevails that if we continue the game of R's and D's switching power grabs we are only mediocre with the R's and doomed with the D's.
Romney is just a player. His health care fiasco is just that. Im tired of the McCain's and Lindsay Graham's.
Save the third party speeches getting Obama re elected. Obama will be voted out. Independents join the GOP in wanting him out of office.

Does it really matter whether a republican or tea party candidate/ get in? I mean... once in DC the corruption lies so deep. This is why I will bet America goes for Ron Paul because he won't play the game.

I agree. We are researching those who plan to run and will only choose folks who clearly are against the socialist agenda. But in keeping a vigilant eye to 2012, I am watching Allen West.

You've got Fred Thompson, Michelle Bachmann (whom Pelosi and Emanuel are going all-out right now to knock out of Congress), Jindal, and Duncan Hunter. Hunter has a name-recognition problem (MSM screening him out). Fred less so .... Michelle's well known in the party, but less so by far than Palin.
Jindal is new, and he's from India (well, his parents are) and Louisiana, where he was beaten once by Mary Landrieu and James Carville because Jindal wouldn't fight dirty when they fought dirty (and that's the only kind of fight they have in Louisiana).
Fred and Sarah have the presence, Fred the experience and can sell people on being the President when he speaks. Sarah probably needs to serve a term as Fred's veep.
