Anyone else notice that Mrs. Obama appears to be with child?
That's her husband.
If Michelle is preggers it is the longest gestation known to man. She’s looked pregnant since before the election.
Couldn’t be more of a baby than the Tyrant in Chief.
And he’s supposedly been with another woman of late, according to teh ever-reliable National Enquirer.
Are you sure Michelle’s healthy eating isn’t just making her fat?
Whoa! Is it already time for the Obama’s to make thier sacrifice to the god of abortion politics?
I have heard talk.
Others said she eats children
A baby in the WH? Must be Kal’s.
I’m sure Obama doesn’t want to see Michelle “punished with a baby.”
“Anyone else notice that Mrs. Obama appears to be with child?”
I’ve noticed that it looks like she’s carrying triplets in her butt!
Bob, Michelle is 46 years old. I went to your blog and your only other line was, “just in time for the election.”
I realize you’re a guy, hopefully, with a name like Bob. For goodness sakes, if you’ve been paying attention, she always had the same figure type. That’s how she’s built.
There’s been speculation that Michelle is pregnant since 0bama was elected. Puhleeze!
If it is true, there’s a risk of a Down’s baby. Neither of them is all that young. Politics aside, having kids that late is irresponsible, especially with the demands placed on any family living in the White House.
Hmm, how will this fit in with his “affair”????
Beer through my nose you bastard!
Women have children later these days, fairly routinely. I think she’s expecting.
Who’s baby is it?
Hussein, "No one should require the burden of a baby on anyone."
Is it Charlie Rangels’?
Oh come on, she’s had hundreds of pictures with Barack in the White House already.
Is Barry punishing Michelle? ... These are sick, wicked people.
“...having kids that late is irresponsible”
Their business, not ours.
nah... she just big boned
Yeah, 41 pounds 5 ounces of concentrated lipids and triglycerides from Lobster and Fillet Mignon on the taxpayer`s dole.
Does that mean the kid’ll be an American citizen?
I'm one of those 'have them later women', but I was 36, not 46. Michelle doesn't look any different these days than she has since the resident in chief took over, sorry. False meme speculation is like talking about the fat lady next door. Is it real or is it Memorex?
I wonder if John Edwards might be the father????
I was born to 44 yr old mother in the early 70’s. Her first doctor suggested she should abort me for that reason.
You think she’s expecting
I expect you’re not thinking...
If so, approval ratings increase a point or two.
No, what would be better is to not get pregnant in the first place. Regardless of your opinion, the risk for birth defects rises noticeably after 40, particularly for women. As for foolish and selfish, how selfish do you have to be to have a kid so late in life that you’ll have plenty of time to teach her to drive, since you’ll be retired? That you’ll have to catch the daybus from the “independent living center” to see your kid graduate from college?
Isn’t she a little old to have a child?
As far as selfish is concerned, nothing is more selfish than choosing the one or two child family because you want the new BMW, bigger house in the burbs, and expensive vacations than the privilege of raising a responsible, tax paying, and stable future generation to help pay for not only my own future needs but for those of society as a whole.
The reason the country is in the trouble that it is is because all the wrong people are having all the children. We can not continue to leave the raising of large families to unwed, uneducated women in the ghetto. The middle and upper middle classes MUST have more children if our society is to survive and thrive.
Turn up the speakers.
I have never met a person who said, “I wish I had been killed in the womb because my mother was over forty.”
>>A baby in the WH? Must be Kal’s.<<
Yeah, he’s too busy screwing all of us.
I've heard rumors that it isn't hers.
Father would have to be Chewbacca. Wookies tend to stay with their own kind.
Women are having babies later these days, but 46 would be pushing it. Not to say it couldn’t happen.
too many vegetables
Under the new health care mandate, if I was to get pregnant at age 46, I’ll just bet the govt. would make it THEIR business and decide what treatments I would be allowed to have as well as my baby if it happens to be born with Downs Syndrome or any other birth defect.
I never said anyone should have an abortion. I said when people get to that age, they need to think about the risks, not just to the kid, but the mother as well, and about what it means to the kid to be born to older parents. It’s not about limiting kids so you can have an expensive lifestyle, it’s about trying not to have kids so late in life that you end up being unable to participate fully as they get older. I’m 39 myself, and my wife is pregnant (she’s 31). We want to have at least 2 more. One of the things I have to think about is how old I’ll be at various milestones in their lives. At this point, when the youngest is ready to drive (assuming we have our kids as close together as possible, with the youngest born sometime in 2013), I’ll be near 60. When she graduates college with her bachelor’s, I’ll be 65. If she gets married when she’s in her late 20s, I’ll be past 70. That’s really pushing it. I’m not going to be able to enjoy her triumphs nearly as much as I would if I were even 10 years younger, and she’s not going to have me around nearly as long.
And Jim, it’s just as much my “business” as my opinions are your “business”. You need to get off your high horse, and realize that this board is about the exchange of opinion and information. You can’t just shout down people whose opinions differ from yours; that’s the DU way, not the FR way.
OTOH, the Obamas aren't ordinary people. I'm positive they would have NO PROBLEM with an abortion given they are Pro-Choice.
Michelle will have early advanced testing done and if the baby has Downs, they'll likely say she suffered a "miscarriage".
Also, it would seem that, despite the risk of a child of older parents having birth defects being “very low” as you put it, it was still high enough to affect your family. You’re awfully defensive for someone who says special needs children are “often a blessing”. If you take that kind of attitude, it’s very easy for people to interpret it as a lot more like someone who feels guilty about something and is trying to justify their decision, rather than someone who genuinely believes that.
I don’t think anyone disagrees that the middle-class and upper-class birthrates are very low, compared to the rates for those in “the ghetto”, and that as time goes on, the demographics of the country are going to change because of it. However, by saying that “the wrong people” are having kids, it sure sounds to me like you don’t think they should be allowed to have kids at all. Now who’s the one talking about things that are none of their business? Are you going to be the one to tell them they should start aborting their kids? Are you going to push for legislation to require that people on welfare not have children, or even be required to have vasectomies or tubal ligations in order to get their checks? If you want the middle class to have more kids, that’s fine, but the key is to make sure their kids are all going to be capable of productively contributing to society. That means encouraging them to start having kids younger, instead of waiting until after they have the expensive car, big house, and high-paying job.
