Why was this story not national news? Outrageously, firemen in Flint, Mich. went about the city setting fires instead of putting them out last month and all because their union wasn't happy with job layoffs. In a vain attempt to stop the layoffs, these union criminals went around setting fires to try and scare Flint's residents in order to goad them to tell city officials to rescind the layoffs.
Imagine the breach of trust that this represents between firemen and the citizenry? What next, will Flint policemen commit murders and armed robberies in like manner to the criminal activities of the union inflamed foremen of the city?
Is this where unions have taken the safety of our cities...

Puts meaning to the second word in “Union Goons.”
Any firefighter who sets a fire, not in a fireplace or BBQ pit, or under the command of your Chief, must be expelled from the Fire Service. I am a 19 yr. Volunteer.
Michigan is what this country will look like after 8 years of Obama.
This is about union power. Abolish the whole union. Any fireman willing to come back to work without the union still has a job. Oh, send the bill for fighting the arsons to the union and send the thugs to prison who actually set the fires.
Didn’t even read that on the obit page.
That’s where they bury bad news.
What in the Hell is wrong with these people!? >_<;
The linked article to MLive.com on this blog article does not support the conclusion that union firefighters set these fires.... Investigators have drawn no such conclusion.
“Is this where unions have taken the safety of our cities..”
Of course it is. If the stuff hits the fan, do you really think they will be there selflessly protecting you?
Dream on.
If they lose their jobs, do you think they will accept responsibility for being too expensive to employ? of course not.
Right now we have “over response” to even minor issues - so that everyone looks busy in fire/police.....but it’s coming. The gravy train is going off the tracks - and displaced, but coddled government employees of every sort are not going to take it calmly or non-violently.
While this seems like a probable conclusion from the rash of arson fires, there is no actual proof that they are being set by the firemen. No one has been arrested or charged.
The arson or attempted arson of any property carries a statutory minimum sentence of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years. If any person is injured in the arson or attempted arson, the statutory minimum is 7 years and maximum is 40 years, and if the fire results in the death of a firefighter or other person the defendant may receive up to life in prison, or even be subject to the death penalty.
SHIVERS!!!
Nice pic from Fahrenheit 451. I was about to comment that Michigan seems to have taken Ray Bradbury to heart about firemen.
This “fire” department should be disbanded and the perpetrators punished severely. Reform a new department and ban any of the previous employees from joining it.
I seriously despise unions now.
They should be on the watch list instead of tea partiers.

This one is from 1905:
Bayonne Man Admits Burning 15 Houses, Police Say. HE LOVED THE EXCITEMENT Never Missed Responding to an Alarm and Was Always First at the Engine House.
March 27, 1905, Monday
The police of Bayonne yesterday afternoon arrested James McInerny, a member of Americus Engine Company of that city, and later declared they had obtained from him a confession that he had for months been starting fires for the sake of fighting them when the alarms were turned in

They don’t dare!
Of COURSE they didn’t “draw those conclusions”!! The Cops are union thugs too!!! They won’t attack a brother union. And the politicians there are in the back pocket of the unions, THEY won’t charge anyone EITHER!
