Muslims keep pushing and pushing. There will be a point.....................
Until then, I think what would be much more appropriate is to disassemble Mullah Omar's House, and reassemble it at Ground Zero as a barbecue rib joint called "Omar's."
Landmark status was granted to the buildings on B’way between Thomas and Worth Sts. because of their cast iron fronts. This is why the ATT building at 33 Thomas St. (formerly called 323 B’way.) is truncated on its east side and never reached B’way. Many other cast iron front buildings in the area also have been given landmark status. The building at 45 Park Pl., where this “mosque” is planned is a cast iron front building. Why is there a problem with it also acquiring landmark status for the same reason?
I was just wondering....what if the muslims build this mosque and a bunch of radical Christians bombed it to the ground. Could Chritians then build a big cathederal on the spot? Of course this would require the Christians acquire title to the land by purchasing it from the government after the government took it via emminent domain, because the destroyed mosque was a blight on the community and the Christians were going to include a retail sales point inside their cathederal that would raise more sales taxes than the muslims had done in their mosque.
Just wondering....
