From a remote location on an island off Alaskas coast, former Governor Sarah Palin is blasting what she describes as the sick puppies in the media who immediately and ruthlessly attacked her when Sen. John McCain picked her as his running mate during the 2008 presidential campaign.
In exclusive remarks to The Daily Caller, Palin described hordes of Obamas opposition researchers-slash reporters descending upon Alaska in the days after she was picked by McCain.
She said the media became a key reason she decided not to finish out her term as governor and faults, in part, the McCain campaign for failing to vigorously defend her.

I live this woman! I could die for a Palin-Ryan ticket!
It wasn't the heat of being Governor, Sarah Palin could not afford to defend herself against the numeruos frivilous ethnic charges against her.
Those expenses had to come from her own pocket, she was not allowed to use state funds to defend herself in all those ethnic hearings.
I am offened by your "Palin Panther" name-calling.
All that does is reveal what kind of a person “nmh” really is.. and it’s not good.
Get real. I was not being serious. more figures of speech. not literal
But you are right about one think. I hate the people that buy the MSM talking points to bring her or her supporters down. Hate might be too light of a world.
they may walk among us, but they are not one of us.
hate might be too light of a word..correction
I have thought this all along, and I believe it is a wise strategy. I swear, I think she has Sun Tzu on the nightstand, rightnext to her Bible.
Ok. I'll bite. Does she really think the media will not be an issue should she run for POTUS?
I think she should blame Bush instead.
Who's that "Oynx" you pinged? LOL.
Please Arizona, DUMP the rotten SOB and I'll betcha Sarah it won't break Sarah's heart to see him lose.
I'll always be happy he selected her, but I'll never forgive him for throwing her to the MSM wolves and witches. She's always been much too good for him. I wish she didn't consider him a good friend.
Nah, ya think?
LOL. She's great.
He's a parasite. She's always been too good for him and now she's also too big for him.
If you read her remarks, it wasn't about her own personal feelings, or 'taking the heat'. Her concern was for the taxpayers of Alaska, her family, and especially the financial considerations for herself, and members of her staff, of dealing with the constant, nitpicking, nuisance lawsuits.
She wasn't even able to set up an official organization for accepting donations for her own defense. As President, she would be able to do that (there is sufficient precedent), as would any of her staff (again, there is precendent), so that major obstacle would be removed.
As for her previous claims that all was well, I'm pretty sure that was DURING the campaign, and she should have said supportive things, at the time. In her book, however, she makes it CLEAR that McCain's campaign staff was interfering, but that she didn't feel she could really say anything about it. But a couple of times, she DID ignore them, and do some activities that she thought would be useful to the campaign. And she mentions their stabbing her in the back after the election, and the hints BEFORE the election that it was in the works.
Sarah may run for President, she may not. And I will support her, unless there is someone who shows up in the next year or two who I think would be better. But there is no reason to tear her down, just because so many conservatives are excited about her. That's what the libs would LOVE, because that's doing their work for them.
She didn't have an official defense fund, because the same Dem ninnies who file all the other lawsuits sued her about it. I'm thinking she decided to write her book in order to use some of the proceeds to pay the legal fees.
Now THAT would be interesting!
It was funny because today she was being interviewed by Bob and Mark in Alaska and they asked her if she decides to run for President, will she have McCain as her VP, and she said Maybe it will show him whats its like being UNDER the bus then IN the bus

Did she really say that? Really? If so, that’s awesome!
Yeah she said it..it was towards the end of the interview when they asked her if she DID decide to run for President, would she have McCain as a running mate, that is when she said it, they were kinda shocked she said that so she tried to cover it up by saying “No No, I love McCain” but sometimes a slip of the tongue is a slip of the tongue ya know..
Here you can listen to it here if you want

Can't expect much success from a campaign with a staff full of backstabbers, except a whole lot of backstabbing...
... much like a conservative forum with a whole lot of anti-conservative backstabbers.

Palin IS the leading Republican candidate for the Nomination, IMO, if she decides to run. She’s also the most vetted candidate in American history.
She’s taken everything her enemies in both parties and the MSM have thrown at her and she’s still standing.
Can anyone name anybody today that could have withstood what she went through, and still be as popular as she is?

I think you are right. Well said.
