Chi Coltrane, one of the most underrated female singer/songwriters in history, originally did this song in 1973, the same time as the Watergate mess. Presumably it was originally meant to be an anti-war song as well as a slam at Pres. Nixon. But it is even more apropos today. She is a lib, like most of her colleagues, but not the worst of them. In fact she's a very classy lady who, even after all these yrs. would make Lady Ga-Ga look like Helen Thomas.
Nifty toe tapper that fits Obama more than the singers original anti Vietnam era target.
Sort of a Bo Derek lookin gal....
Great find, thanks for posting!
Great tune, good video . . . but every time I wanted to see her hands, the camera was doing something else, and vice versa.
Amen to that.
What a total package she was (still great, but a few decades ago...wow!)
She should be a household name.
“”Thunder and Lightning” was one of the biggest hits that year.”
Sure, now I remember her!

A very talented and lovely girl.
That’s awful. Really awful.
No offense intended, but- here is a MUCH better female singer/songwriter from the same period:
