Skip to comments.Video: Christine O'Donnell Rips Karl Rove

She blames his attitude on sour grapes. Enjoy.
And she’s right! Karl Rove is a lot closer to Castle politically than to a conservative!
Rove is a professional Republican advisor. He no more wants to see the republicans lose clout anymore than the RNC. His income depends on it.
So better a RINO that screws you in the end, rather than getting behind a candidate that is an actual conservative?
So why are you here again? This isn’t GOPRepublic.com.
May Karl Rove said those things last night to ramp up tea party support for O’Donnell?? He is a magnificent bastard.
But we need to contact those RINO b@st@rds (202) 863-8500 and info@ gop.com to let them know how we feel.
Nice attempted hit piece by George Steppinfecthit. She responded quite well.
She has got moxie.
We need to send the RNC some Kaopectate....
Nice try by the ‘rat Sunffleupagus to slay her. Too bad it didn’t stick.
..and neither is this TeaPartyRepublic.com. Two can play that game.
I don’t need anyone to validate my conservative credentials, but you may be surprised that many of us Freepers are indeed very conservative, but can be quite practical when it is required to be.
I fully supported and continue to support Joe Miller against Lisa in Alaska - it was right thing to do, considering it’s a red state. I also supported Ken Buck against Jane Norton - again the right thing in the right state. And finally, I am all for Marco Rubio against that turncoat Crist.
But I can say with every pragmatic conservative fiber in my body, this was a stupid, silly choice to support COD over Mike Castle. We took an easy win and handed it to the Democrats.
Congratulations to you all who supported COD. Enjoy this short-lived victory. And I don’t want to hear any baloney about how we’re sending RINOs a message. WE WILL NEVER be able to elect anyone but RINOs in states like Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, etc...let’s get real!
He is clearly a contentious, right wing extremist.
Screw this electing rinos or else crap. If this country has enough states where only libs or rinos (what’s the difference?) can get elected then we need to let them elect all libs and then eventually their policies will destroy the country and then maybe we can stake out a piece of it.
All electing rinos gets you is the crap we hear about what is wrong with the Bush admin - oh, he spent too much too! Well, we weren’t for that spending either so we don’t deserve to be tarred by that brush. Castle would have done nothing but joined the useful idiot cabal in the Senate that already includes the maine rino girls, grahamnesty, the weepy ohio guy (who thankfully is leaving but he just screwed us one last time), etc. The dems can always count of pulling off 2 or 3 from that group for virtually anything they want.
Then why bother trying? Why vote our enemies into office in our own name? Makes no sense.
I can’t speak for Delaware, but in NH a conservative certainly can be elected. Either of the two top candidates, Lamontagne or Ayotte, would be a conservative by most standards. I certainly don’t think Ayotte is a RINO after the fashion of the two women from Maine.
Rove made a complete ASS of himself on Hannity last night. It was a TRULY revealing interview. Revealing Rove as an elitist, horses behind, that is.
I hope she wins but if she doesn’t that’s fine too.
Even with a majority in the Senate we’d be hamstrung (again) by the likes of Snowe, Collins, Brown and, yes, Castle.
No, this is a CONSERVATIVE website.
If you want to go back “moderates” to be “practical”, then dont whine when they go and vote for liberal SC nominees or back some Obama scheme.
No one handed a seat to the Democrats, they gave a conservative a chance to win it.
Dont insult the intelligence of the people of Delaware by suggesting that their votes can be gained by playing to a notion that they will only vote for a leftist, so let’s give them that, so the GOP can “win”.
Exactly what conservative value is that again?
You have insulted us for the last time. You publicly announce your lack of support for a candidate because your hand picked guy didnt win?
Whose side are you on, really? Many of us feel you and the party have been playing an insider game far too long and enough is enough!
So long you as you are head of the RNC I will not take your calls or even open your letters.
The Republican voter has changed and you and your friends or the cabal of country club Republicans are dinosaurs.
Giving money and support to Crist, Specter, Scuzzyfavor, Chaffee, Snow, Collins? Unacceptable!
Have fun. That little light in the corner of your eye is your career dissipation light.
Have a nice day!
Real conservatives vote for the candidate that meets their specs. If you want to vote for RINOs simply to win an election regardless of the consequences of the election you are not a conservative, you are a "test the wind" voter.
Castle is the same as a democrat and votes with dems most of the time, so why bother having him in the Senate? With Christine running we have a chance at putting a real conservative, who will vote republican 100% of the time.
Simply winning a seat with someone who has an R in their name doesn't do much if that someone doesn't vote the way the people want him too.
You are right on one thing, as long as their are people like you who will vote for RINOs we will never get a conservative in NH, but don't count Christine out yet. Republican turn out for this primary was more than 2 times dimwit turn out. If that holds for November Christine could win. Not only that a lot of dems are in tea partiers.
But dont you know that NJ will only vote for a liberal?!
Obviously nominating him handed that election over to the Democrats. /s
NH race looks like it is going for the Tea Partier also.
That's what I've heard too.
Conservatives who are backing RINOS are not practical, they are dillusional. You sell out your convictions based on some the pretense of superior knowledge. Conservative who fold like lawnchairs and pretend backing a liberal is acceptable are RINOs too...sorry, but someone had to break it to you.
Heres where you’re wrong. With Castle, we would be married to the b@stard and his backstabbing until his late 80s or early 90s. Even if O’Donnell loses,, we can run real candidates against him again and again.
And i don’t care if we lose. The victory was to beat the GOP. A majority with him is meaningless anyway,, it’d just empower guys like McCain, Cornyn, etc. Think castle can be counted on not to betray us every single time it counts? Even worse, his very existence in the party means they cater to him,,,, like they tried to yesterday.
I don’t see all the fuss about losing a career liberal republican geezer. Geesh
If he was a sure win, why couldn’t he win the primary?
He lost because the people are sick and tired of potted plant republicans. So this old fart needs to get a real job like other people do and get over it.
If the GOP wants the rise of a new party, just keep it up idiots.
I thought she responded well also. Not knowing anything about her or ever hearing her speak I was expecting a Neandrathal. Good for her and good luck for her.
I don’t know about the others, but I for one do not doubt your conservatism. I do however think you have misread the tea leaves (pardon the pun). Your position assumes that once blue always blue, as if “blueness” were a genetic condition rather than a malleable state of mind. Most liberalism stems from an idealism born of a lack of first-hand experience with the dire consequences of socialist theory.
But now, we have before us, in this President, one of the greatest teachable moments we have ever had or are likely to get, as to exactly why “blueness” is just dumb. Nobody likes to be thought of as stupid, and a lot of people are yanking away from not just Obama, but the false idealism of socialism for which he is the poster child, because they are finally beginning see the consequences of the socialist dream to them personally. Delaware may be blue today, purple by mid-October, and tilting ever more toward a serious red by early November. Not on all issues, necessarily, but on enough to give ODonnell a shot at yet another big surprise.
Can this really happen? Yes, because humans do learn, despite themselves. The Internet has changed the dynamic of social education, accelerated it, and we must capitalize (pardon the pun) upon it. ODonnell must, as she says, work double shifts going everywhere in Delaware with her message. And the NRSC must get behind true conservatives if it wants to still be around in a few years. A truly seismic shift is underway. Seismic means exactly that the solid ground of established assumptions is shifting dramatically, and has become unstable underfoot. And those who don’t account for the potential for real change during such an event will find they have miscalculated badly.
Oh, sure, sometimes they'll vote “Republican” on some small, unimportant vote that gets blown up to Hot Social Issue status by the impartial MSM so as to burnish their “conservative” credentials, but at the end of the day, it's basically meaningless - on many levels.
Besides, if the RINO wing of the Republican party is all that hot and influential, why, when I look at the issues and their voting patterns, should I vote for the communist lite, when I can just as easily, with the same amount of sweat and energy, cross the aisle and vote for the real thing?
There are many, many people out there, some more “Conservative” than you, who have had no place to go in years past because we've been told by organs that are Leftist-controlled that they have no other choice. That myth, thankfully, is ending, and what was described many years ago by a President who was thought to be “conservative” but proved to be anything but, the “great Silent Majority” has now found it's voice, sees first hand it can flex it's political muscles mightily, and sees for the first time in a century it has a real shot at not being denied.
It's an exhilarating experience, intoxicating even, and given this first taste of success they are not very likely to give it up and go back to posing like cigar store Indians.
Stupid? You really should spend a little time examining your exact position on the political spectrum before casting aspersions with such a wide brush.
Only Nixon could go to China.
Only Rove can go to ODonnell.
The primary is over, Rove needs to man up and do his job of electing republicans.
Wow, when they showed Rove on the video he was sickening, I cannot stand him now. That was great seeing the establishment freaking out, I need a cigarette after that youtube video and I don’t even smoke !! Let’s roll !!
Great timing!! I was watching this video when I got a call from the RNC. I almost didn’t answer because caller ID said Unknown Caller. Here’s a transcript of my conversation with them:
RNC Operative: This is so-and-so from the RNC. How are you?
Me: Im doing well. And oddly enough, I happen to be watching a video of Christine ODonnell where shes stating she wont be supported by the RNC. Is that true?
RNC Operative: Im not able to speak to that. The reason Im calling today, we appreciate your support in the past. It’s strong Republicans such as yourself...
Me: I’m a Conservative who votes Republican.
RNC Operative: ....and we want you to be aware that we are working hard on your behalf to help elect Republicans who will stand for your values.
Me: I no longer donate to the RNC. I give directly to the individual candidates who stand for my values.
RNC Operative: We may not always be able to give to the candidates that you would like us to give to, but
Me: The RNC wont support Christine ODonnell, the candidate who just won the partys primary - and Karl Rove is spouting against her, why is that? Conservatives have gotten wise to the RNC and now have other choices. Maybe you should pass that along.
RNC Operative: I need to advise you that I will not pass along your comments to the RNC
Me: I know that because Ive told the others who have called that I will no longer support the RNC, yet you guys keep calling and wasting everyones time anyway.
RNC Operative: Im just a paid professional telemarketer hired by the RNC to make calls on their behalf. If you would like to get your comments to the RNC - their website is....(Hmmm I could have sworn he said he was with the RNC)
Me: In other words, you might be a democrat.
RNC Operative: (now very frustrated, raising his voice) This isnt about who I am, this is about helping the RNC who is working very hard to elect conservatives and prevent obama from carrying out his destructive agenda against this country.
Me: The RNC has supported Olympia Snow and Arlin Specter - and I wouldn’t call them conservatives. I have a long list of Republicans the RNC supports and that I dont.
RNC Operative: We want to elect those who have the best chance to promote the conservative agenda, blah, blah.
Me: The conservative agenda? The RNC supported Mike Castle a Republican who recently told Harry Reid that he would vote for cap and trade. That isn’t the conservative agenda.
RNC Operative: (trying to talk over me without success)
Me: Listen, Ive been making contributions to Sarah Palin, Joe Wilson and others, and Im getting ready to send a check to Christine ODonnell because obviously she has embarrassed the party elitists and will now have a rough time because their guy lost.
RNC Operative: This call was paid for by the RNC. Have a nice day.
While I admire you passionate reasoning, may I point out that if you don't vote for the candidate who most reflects your values, you will not get the representative you want. So let's 'get real' and not over-think the problem.
Yes, that was a disgusting performance. I’ve never taken him seriously since he said on camera that he didn’t want his son working at McDonald’s so we should import Mexicans. Elitist prick.
Yeah and a lot of people didn’t think Chris Christie could get elected in NJ. With the lib machine on overtime Christie was still able to win because it was a local issue: TAXES. And it seems that you choose men over women in every example you have given, why is that?
