You don’t have to excerpt blogs. This looks kind of important. Could you post the entire article?
“Inspire 2 Lives Up to Its Name”
Posted on October 11, 2010 by Admin
SNIPPET: “The second issue of Inspire, the magazine issued by the media outlet of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) known as Al-Malahim Media Foundation is living up to its name, at least on paper, in trying to INSPIRE English-language al-Qaeda supporters to cross that proverbial threshold from thought to action.
Heres what I think are the most important points to take away from the magazine off my first skim through. I will be blogging more in-depth analysis in days to come. Ill also be monitoring the response from the jihobbyist fan base aggressively.
1. This magazine is focused on giving average guys who generally support al-Qaeda but feel like one man cant make a difference the kick in the butt that they need to move from thought to action. It is an effort to provide as many role-models to emulate and potential paths for action to adopt as possible.
2. Inspire is the magazine equivalent of Anwar al-Awlaki: it is a populist publication, its for the jihadi everyman. Whereas previous publications used to focus on making complex arguments and exploring sophisticated issues in-depth, this series is focused on mobilizing: on actualizing potential. They believe that there are a lot of loaded guns out there in the form of angry kids in the West. They just need someone to pull the trigger: Al-Qaeda believes they can be this trigger.”
“New Qaeda Mag Features Proud U.S. Traitor”
October 11, 2010 - 4:17 PM | by: Mike Levine
SNIPPET: “The group behind the failed Christmas Day bombing has released the second installment of its new English-language magazine, Inspire, featuring a North Carolina man who says he is “proud to be a traitor to America.”
“I am a traitor to America because my religion requires me to be one,” writes 24-year-old Samir Khan, a U.S. citizen now believed to be in Yemen. “We pledge to wage jihad for the rest of our lives until either we implant Islam all over the world or meet our Lord as bearers of Islam.””
SNIPPET: “In the most recent edition, the magazine suggests Muslims...”
SNIPPET: “”DHS and the FBI are concerned ... that the sophisticated, colloquial English-language magazine could appeal to certain Western individuals and inspire them to conduct attacks in the United States in the future,” the DHS note in July said. “As AQAP’s first official publication geared towards English-speaking readers, Inspire reflects the group’s interest in reaching a Western audience and is a significant addition to the group’s media campaign.””

“AQAP Releases Second Issue of ‘Inspire’ Magazine”
SNIPPET: “He called himself “Al-Qaeda to the core” and praised Osama bin Laden, calling him “leader of this global fight” against the West.
He discussed what it felt like “to officially become a traitor” and started he is “prepared to make sacrifices,” and adds, “I am actively aware that body parts have to be torn apart, skulls have to be crushed and blood has to be spilled.”
Samir also quoted WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange calling on the U.S. to change its policies if it wants to prevent more attacks inside its border.
He ends by “pledging” to “wage Jihad” until “we implement Islam all over the world or meet our Lord as bears of Islam.””
Proud to be an American Traitor
If you were a muslim the n you were not an American and can not be a traitor.
islam is the exact opposite of being American. American id freedom and liberty, islam is oppression and terror. So if you were the one you could not be the other..
TERROR THREAT to Restaurants as Al Qaeda Calls for Attacks on Government Workers in D.C.

SNIPPET: “WASHINGTON - The terror group tied to the Ft. Hood killings and the Christmas Day undies airbomber urge wannabe American jihadis to open fire on crowded restaurants in the nation’s capital to massacre U.S. government workers.
The advice appears in “Inspire,” the latest issue of a slick propaganda publication by Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, Osama Bin Laden’s franchise in Yemen.
“A random hit at a crowded restaurant in Washington, D.C., at lunch hour might end up knocking out a few government employees,” Yahya Ibrahim writes in the 74-page jihadi how-to magazine.
“Targeting such employees is paramount and the location would also give the operation additional media attention,” Ibrahim added.
Other trash talk came from “Samir Khan,” an American who came to AQAP from North Carolina, who produces the publication and wrote that he is “proud to be a traitor in America’s eyes.”

Chilling tips in al-Qaeda magazine

SNIPPET: Al-Qaedas offshoot in Yemen has launched the second edition of its online, English-language magazine, with chilling tips to would-be fighters on how to kill Americans.
SNIPPET: The second edition, released this week, includes The Ultimate Mowing Machine, which describes how to use a pickup truck as a mowing machine, not to mow grass, but mow down the enemies of God.
To achieve maximum carnage, you need to pick up as much speed as you can while still retaining good control ... to strike as many people as possible in your first run, it says.

Another candidate for a rope.
Thank you for posting this. We need to spread the word on those living among us who would love to kill Americans. The media certainly is not doing their job, this is the first time I have heard this!

SNIPPET: “Note to Rita and Yigal: time to get serious about reading your log files””
October 12th, 2010 | Jihadi journals, Jihadi media, Yemen, propaganda
SNIPPET: “The second issue of the English-language jihadi magazine Inspire is out. Dina Temple-Raston, Jarret Brachman and Memri have already made some initial observations, but Ill throw in my own for what theyre worth.
For a start, the second issue confirms that the magazine is produced out of Yemen by Samir Khan, the online propagandist who was based in the United States until October 2009. As with the first issue, the magazine contains a mix of original material and reprints of older texts by Bin Ladin, Abu Dujana al-Khurasani, Abu Musab al-Suri and others. Most of the new stuff is ostensibly written by Samir Khan himself, but there are a couple of new pieces by al-Awlaki as well. There are also numerous quotes from Western media, including several about the first issue of Inspire. “
SNIPPET: “Perhaps most interesting are the advice on how to avoid detection:
Do not travel abroad for jihad act on US soil instead.
Do not use mobile phones and the Internet for any jihad-related communication if you have to, use coded language and encryption tools.
If you are clean stay clean do not interact with other activists.
Do not access jihadi websites get your jihadi propaganda fix from anti-jihadi monitoring sites such as MEMRI and SITE.”
“Analysis: Two ex-Gitmo detainees featured in al Qaeda’s Inspire magazine”
By THOMAS JOSCELYN
October 13, 2010
SNIPPET: “The newly released issue of Inspire, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsulas (AQAP) quarterly online magazine, features two former Guantanamo detainees. The first is Othman Ahmed al Ghamdi, who is the military commander of AQAP. Al Ghamdi also appeared in an AQAP tape released in May. [See LWJ report, Former Gitmo detainee featured as commander in al Qaeda tape.]
The second former Gitmo detainee featured is Said al Shihri, who is listed as the vice emir, or roughly number two leader, of AQAP. Al Shihri has appeared in several communiqués since early 2009, when the formation of AQAP was first publicly announced. Al Shihri himself was a participant in AQAPs founding. [See LWJ report, Return to Jihad.]
The chief purpose of Inspire, which is produced entirely in English, is to spread AQAPs propaganda in the West and woo new recruits. In that vein, Inspire focuses on what US counterterrorism officials call the narrative. The magazine portrays the West, and in particular America, as being at war with Islam as part of a Zionist-Crusader conspiracy. This is a typical al Qaeda recruiting message.
Both al Ghamdi and al Shihri rely on the narrative in their messages to readers. Their words are only partially true, and mostly mythology.”
