In West Virginia the race was called before our votes were in the Court House to be counted.

Good point (more likely in NV, I think)

I’m surprised that most people assume that because vote margins were wider than expected that fraud couldn’t have made the difference. How can that be assumed when just a few days we heard legitimate stories like this?:

“Watchdog Warns SEIU Contract for Nevada Voting Machines Poses ‘Fraud’ Concern”

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/10/27/watchdog-warns-seiu-contract-nevada-voting-machines-poses-fraud-concern/

Why is not possible that machines were doing this all night long on election night- especially when checking it is out of our control?

I agree with you. Remember there was a power outage outside of Vegas. I would think some how this was a man made outage to hold back some republican votes. My thoughts.

Speechless last night. Can not believe Nv is sending him back.

Titus lost a close race in a very heavy Dem district.

I too believe there were manipulations regarding the vote, but it will never be proven nor will Reid be denied his win.

Too bad, so sad, my state disappointed me big time last night.

A caller to a local radio station this morning identified himself as being from NV. He stated that he was not surprised that Reid won. He cited cases previously in NV where counties that had perhaps 500 people would magically present 8000 votes for dems. Seems any protests were pretty quickly stifled by the dem political machine as well. Some things just never change.....

Prove fraud. Reid had a sock puppet in the race and Angle didn’t make the case that Reid needed to go. Then there’s the massive union vote in Vegas.

There’s one thing I don’t understand about “spitting” a ticket. How do the Nevada votes know that they are supposed to vote for Reed the father and against Reed the son? Seems to me that if the voters want to split their ticket, they mathematically would go 50/50 - “yes” for father and “no” for son OR “no” for father and “yes” for son. Not “all” for the father and not for the son.

Curious! or am I missing something.

I noticed that very thing last night.

If those two GOP candidates are smart, the voting machines can be audited. It is just software. You can run a search for a total on split tickets to see how many it spits out. The machine will tell you if the ballots really did mark a split between 2 races. Someone just needs to run a query.

When I looked at the county return for Nevada, Clark County (Las Vegas) overwhelmingly carried Reid for the whole state. The only other county Scary Harry won was Mineral County - a very low population county. Angle won in ALL other counties. You can see it at: http://www.silverstate2010.com/General.aspx

Of course there isn't anything suspicious about those facts! /sarc

The gaming industry don’t want a rat governor toppling their hosue of blackjack cards with more regulations.

well, no, someone crashed their car into a transformer.

Much as I would like to see the results vacated for something like that, it isn’t going to happen. Reid won. He will serve another 6 years, unless God decides otherwise.

My e-mail to Harrah’s Casinos:

“Now that we know Harrah’s was involved with vote fraud in the Harry Reid re-election, I and my family are boycotting all Harrah’s casinos from this day forward. I enjoyed my last stay at a Harrah’s casino but I will not return now that I know you endorse corruption and vote fraud.

With companies like yours, Nevada deserves the massive unemployment and massive foreclosures brought about by leadership like Harry Reid’s. I no longer feel sorry that you lead the nation in both of these categories.

You deserve the mess you live in and that starts with this boycott which I plan to encourage throughout the internet. Enjoy the next six years on your way to bankruptcy.”

It’s hard to guess at what people do with thier votes. It depends on whether they are voting for something or someone. Is it principle or popularity contest? And some don’t vote for anyone they don’t know, even if they end up abstaining from a given race, which could explain some of the difference in numbers of votes.

Although, the Nevada numbers do look different enough that I doubt it’s from people running out just to vote for Harry Reid, ignoring everything else. I might be wrong as I don’t live there and don’t know anyone who does, but he wasn’t polling strong enough to suggest he’s THAT popular.

The Dakotas routinely would elect GOP Presidential candidates with 30+ margins while at the same time giving their socialist rat senator a 30+ margin.

That was then...Now, it is a different story in North Dakota.

Interesting but you have to realize that their are many types of “Republican” votes. Raese lost because of two things. He didn’t drive Manchin’s negatives up enough actually Manchin’s approval improved after he shot the bill. He did an excellent job of beating him with Obama but Manchin and his union thugs went after him with personal attacks on his wealth, his wife, his residency, etc. I thought that it would be too little too late but evidently it wasn’t. O’Donnell though a much longer shot lost because of GOP crossover, again she failed to drive up Coon’s negatives enough. I was really worried about her not going negative big time on Coons right out the gate and though she did respectable and won Independents as I’m pretty sure Raese did. The good thing about WV is we now have 2 house seats out of 2 and it is pretty clear from the results last night that the 3rd seat is well within reach with the right candidate. Manchin has 2 years now. He is going to be on the ticket with Obama in 2012. We can take him if he doesn’t live up to his new anti-Obama rhetoric.

Last night we had winners and losers. We won an aweful lot of ‘Tea Party’ races including the Senate ones. Lee, Rubio, Toomey, Paul, Johnson fit in that category though they will be ignored in favor of a narrative involving O’Donnell, Angle, Miller, & Buck.(If Miller and Buck ultimately lose) I think Angle lost simply because of the Reid turnout machine. Those who say one of the other two primary candidates would’ve been better underestimate the power of millions of dollars being thrown at you plus a hostile media. Angle really had her act together. She ran a good race and kicked Harry Reid’s butt in that last debate.
