So what? Do you think our government plays fair? LOL.

You have a lot to learn about living under a totalitarian regime, and skewed disinformation, which we have now.

This was a foreign missile launch, at the invitation of the president of the United States, IMHO.

Sorry I disagree. The webcam and the independent stills prove that the object filmed was heading for the coast. That means that the info from the helo cameraman was incorrect. Instead of travelling out to sea this object headed inland. That means that if it was a ballistic missile it would have headed straight across North American airspace or impacted on US soil. Think about it?

The whole issue is based on edited news footage. It was filmed for a full 10 minutes according to the cameraman. Based on that edited footage many observers were asked to comment. It was based purely on it looks like a ballistic missile plume and what appeared to have been a rocket engine. Consider that the airliner travelling at 37,000 feet was reflecting the light as it transited towards the coastline? The airliner produced a persistent contrail and as it approaches the coast the persistent contrail dissipates into a non-persistent one. Notice how reflections can produce glare from the underside of the fuselage on these airliners.

Copy and paste if the links don't form.

The cameraman has already been fooled by perspective so he is also being fooled by glare and reflection as the airliner travels towards the coast. If you look at the video the glare is filmed when the airliner is still producing the persistent contrail. This shows how far out the optics on the helicopter were recording this airliner. The optics were also producing massive foreshortening at that distance.

The airliner persistent contrail (horizontal) was captuted by a weather satellite.

A classic example of how an edited video, a camerman being fooled by perspective and a media frenzy can generate into a full blown conspiracy.

In fact, the airborne cameraman was someone who early on said it was not a missile!

Looks like a surface launch to me on the weather satellite.

In reality today, our president is as much an enemy of our country as nuke missiles blowing up in NYC, LA or DC.

I t “matters” that there was an unattributed missile launch just off the L.A. coast.
It matters more that the Feds would work so hard to dismiss it.

Yes.

November 14, 2010 By LBG1 California missile launch, work of Chinese hackers? When KCBS aired the news helicopter footage of a mystery missile launch last Monday off the coast of southern California the ‘expert’ most quoted by the press, GlobalSecurities.org Director John Pike. It was Pike’s ‘optical illusion’ which got the most press. Another quote from Pike which got far less press, this statement from Pike during the 36 hour time period the DOD took to come up with the ‘most likely an aircraft’ explanation: Pike said he didn’t understand why the military had not recognized the contrail of an aircraft. “The Air Force must … understand how contrails are formed,” he said. “Why they can’t get some major out to belabor the obvious, I don’t know.” The military’s response, 36 hours after the event, an ‘illusion’? Based on the news reports we’ve read related to the Pentagon and Chinese hackers, the questions of, If Chinese hackers were responsible for the missile launch, would it have been construed by the DOD as an act of ‘cyberwar’ by China? A cyberwar act which occurred while the President of the United States was overseas in the Far East? If Chinese hackers were responsible for a U.S. submarine ‘accidentally’ firing a missile, would the DOD admit it to the press, the American public, and, the Chinese government? Our military admitting Chinese military hackers had successfully hacked into the U.S. Dept. of Defense computer and fired one of our missiles? If the missile was ‘accidentally’ fired by the U.S. military, could be there reasons the military doesn’t want the public to know? In case you’re still debating whether the object videotaped off the coast of California last Monday was a missile or an aircraft the news a Three Star General, retired General Tom McInerney, is ‘absolutely certain that was not an aircraft’. The report from the Dept. of Defense the ‘missile’ was ‘most likely an aircraft’. ‘Most likely’, not a definitive answer from the DOD. General McInerney, guest commentator on Sean Hannity’s FOX News show: ‘First of all I do not agree with the assertion, Sean, and your question is we should get a definitive answer, you’re absolutely correct. Look, this is not an airplane because of the plume and the way you see that plume, airplanes do not con (contrail) at sea level or at 5000 like that. I spent 35 years flying fighters and I have never seen an airplane con like that. That is a missile, it was launched from a submarine and you can see it go through a correction course and then it gets a very smooth trajectory, meaning that the guidance system is now kicked in, it’s going about 45 degrees away from you that why you’re not seeing a lot of vertical velocity.’ Sean Hannity: General, are you a 100% certain? General McInerney: Sean, I’ve watched that film ten times, I’ve watched 15 other Trident films, SM-3′s, standard missile 3′s, and T-Lan launchers, I am absolutely certain that that is not a an aircraft. Armchair bloggers think they know better than General McInerney: "good that he is retired." Dumb dumb remark. And insulting too.

That’s interesting. The only thing I’ve seen is the pilot reporting that he “stayed on the object” for around 10 minutes. Where did you hear the part about the booster stage and then 8 minutes of lingering smoke trail? If that’s true then it should be easy to prove, just show the whole video with no cuts. What’s the longest uncut portion of video you have seen?

Full video disappeared or so they are saying; seeing it would solve much...

I heard that the longest fragment shown is 49 seconds long and shows half of the missile arc rising at high speed up into the sky. I have not even been able to find that.

I have seen the “this is the next day’s condensation trail” photo many, many times ... no comparison at all, not similar at all in my opinion; laughable comparison in my opinion.

Plz everyone, send an email to the 3 star General and the several other experts; he has 40 years experience and like every other expert said you can tell very easily that this is a missile. Many many FReepers said so too. I say so too.

telling him how dumb he is

and that you know better.

Or, better yet, say it to his face if you can arrange it. Try to video tape so we can all see it.

From the link:

11-9-10

*** “(CBS) A mysterious missile launch off the southern California coast was caught by CBS affiliate KCBS’s cameras Monday night, and officials are staying tight-lipped over the nature of the projectile.

CBS station KFMB put in calls to the Navy and Air Force Monday night about the striking launch off the coast of Los Angeles, which was easily visible from the coast, but the military has said nothing about the launch.”

“The striking launch” ...

That “lit up the sky” ...

Contrail?

Gee ...

Where did you hear the description of the whole video being a short booster stage and then 8 minutes of lingering smoke trail?

“Full video disappeared or so they are saying; seeing it would solve much...”

Where did you hear this? And yes, I think seeing the whole thing uncut would solve much too.

I don’t know if it was a missile or a plane. I’m just pointing out the vast majority of footage hasn’t been released, and that’s pretty weird. I bet the general would be fine with me saying that to his face, if he is a rational person.

>>I think the cult is made up of mostly the same people who pushed the center fuel tank TWA 800 explosion explanation.<<

That was a different event and included LOTS of eyewitnesses, coupled with Boeing’s complete inability to replicate the explosion that, to this day, is the official story.

In this case, MASSIVE evidence of similar contrails created by commercial and military aircraft (ans especially flight 808), coupled with NO eyewitness accounts other than that of the photographer (and even he is not a “it had to be a missile” proponent), and a heavily edited video, make this a clear case of “there is not ‘there’ there”.

That is, until new evidence contradicting the evidence for an airliner presents itself. I’m still waiting. So far, I’m only seeing more and more opinions based on the same scant information.

What trick? The image was compiled by an Above Top Secret member. The original image with the date time stamp is fully viewable on the web. Try the contrail science website. The ATS member compiled it with a daylight image to show that the skyline matched up for LAX.

Amen.
