Maher and Moore: “America Is Like a Dog”
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | November 15, 2010 | Walter Hudson

In the face of opposition to their radical agenda, President Obama and his administration have made statements to the effect of, We haven’t done a good enough job explaining our policies to the American people. These comments reflect a profound arrogance which assumes that the only reason a rational person would oppose a leftist idea is because they do not understand it. Egregious as that attitude may be, it at least supposes that Americans are capable of understanding proposals which are properly explained.

Left-wing zealot Bill Maher doesn't give us that much credit. On Friday’s Real Time, he took the elitist sentiment further.

“America is like a dog,” Maher began, explaining “It cannot understand actual words. It understands inflection, it understands fear, but you can’t actually explain issues to a dog.”

Liberal hero/bogeyman Michael Moore gamely jumped to America’s defense, but oddly continued the dog metaphor anyway. “When a dog has been abused, it gets all insane, and does insane things,” Moore said. See? We’re not just dogs, we’re insane dogs.

This crude metaphor shouldn’t surprise anyone, as it accurately reflects Maher’s regard for his fellow Americans. During the debate leading up to the passage of Obamacare, Maher suggested that the president act as a dictator and impose his will upon we dull-witted masses.

Moore and Maher should find some place nicer to live if America is so terrible and they genuinely believe what they're saying.

No? End of argument.

Send them to Venezuela. I’m sure they would get along with Hugo just fine.

I’m pretty confident that Michael Moore and First Lady Bill Maher would be even worse than the One.

It’s rather difficult to blame Obama too much for his denial. After all, he knows the US electorate was dumb enough to vote for him in 2008. His lies worked then, why can’t they work again in 2012? Never underestimate the gullibility of the people.

The only problem now is that the electorate won’t be confined to just what he reads and how he reads it; they are now quite familiar with his behavior, which is inconsistent with much of what he reads. This doesn’t excuse the electorate for being foolish enough to vote for someone they didn’t know and didn’t insist on knowing.

My wife rented the Moore film about Capitalism. It was trying to push socialism under the guise of Democracy and the vote.
Though Moore last I heard had problems with the pay and lack of medical benefits to his own people who work with him, he has no problems telling others how to live.
And as bad as Moore things Capitalists are, he made a lot of money under this system and I doubt he did what Christ said about selling all you have to follow Him.

We've had decades of Democrats giving away the treasury in exchange for their election vote.
Hard to get people off the entitlement addiction.

All the European nations are cutting and getting away from Socialism and Obama and Democrats want us to follow the failed system NOW when everyone is running away from it.
