I do not see it as claiming authorship of the video, only for what she wrote. The link sends you to the blog, She posted her whole blog entry.

I do not have a problem with that. If she left out the video link that is posted as part of the blog then some people would complain that she should past her whole blog.

Time for a rerun, you say? Alright.

Your post is fraudulent. Your link that claims to be the video is actually a link to your blog. I clicked on the link that says “Video” and was directed to a shady site.

Time for elaboration.

That has nothing to do with anyone else who may have complained. My objection is exactly what I said it is. You posted a link that you claimed was a direct link to the video, but it was a link to an untrustworthy blog, where visitors might pick up any number of viruses, malware, etc.

Do you behave the same way in the real world? Do you invite your neighbors over for a cup of coffee, and then stick them with a needle which may or may not be infected with AIDS?

Sorry I missed all the Quatrain, Crazy Train, Train in Vain, Tracks in Veins and other FunStuff you guys had while I was gone, but I was busy with #1 Son exercising our 2nd Amendment Rights at the local range.

We had to do the indoor thing ‘cause it’s ~cold~ around here! No long range goodies today, just a box of .40cal, two boxes of 9x18 Maks (Soviet made aluminum cases corrode quickly!) and a big box of .22s.

We did, however, exercise greater firearm safety techniques than the average BlogPimp from Chicago - (this I can assure you - without a doubt!)

All this was happening while the link at the top of this thread magically changed from LibertyJuice.com to a direct link at YouTube, just like the one I originally posted.

All my angst is gone - for today. See you later Brits - nuttin’ but luv! (I really mean that.)

Ah, jeez, I see the dunking stool crowd is out in force tonight!

Remember if she drowns she is NOT a witch, but if she does not drown she IS A WITCH and must be burned at the stake!

Best regards,

I officiate high school football, and from what I saw, that may be a little borderline, but I'm not flagging that. If it is me, I walk over to the player, tell him to knock it off, and not do that. Tell him to go do it on the sidelines.

However, this is only one snippet of the game. If there had been any shenanigans going on earlier in the game, or something that needed to be nipped in the bud, maybe it was worthy of a flag. Maybe the team got talked to previously about showboating. I saw the game was a blowout. If the team is up that big, and the kid does that, I might throw the flag too.

By the rulebook, I think that could be construed as a penalty.

From my HS rulebook handily at my desk: Unsportsman like conduct....Any delayed, excessive or prolonged act by which a player attempts to focus attention upon himself.

There is rule book officiating, and preventive officiating. Sometimes you look the other way, sometimes you have to bring the hammer depending on the situation.

This happened at a TUMWATER, WASHINGTON football game.

I cannot for the life of me see how taking a knee in the end zone and pointing skyward is “unsportsmanlike”.

If that’s true, then I hope the EVERY touchdown results in the same until the referees pull their collective heads out of their collective asses.

IMHO.

With all due respect the link you provided neither accurately refers to the blog post in which the CNN video is embedded nor accurately describes the content of the blog commentary.

As with most blogs, the author's remarks are "value added" editorial commentary attached to a properly attributed video link.

This can be witnessed by anyone who reads the entire blog post found at this link here:

http://www.libertyjuice.com/2010/11/30/muslim-author-urges-profiling/

If Free Republic has a policy for properly posting blogs it is only necessary for a HELPFUL, COURTEOUS,PLEASANT, KIND, CHEERFUL, WARM and FRIENDLY Freeper to post a LINK to SAID POLICY so that individuals may gratefully learn whatever arbitrary and capricious protocol is in place.

To encourage a frothing, foaming band of feral hyenas to roam the site and accuse total strangers of theft without foundation, remorse or investigation as they did HERE and HERE or to tolerate ugly, nasty language as can be found HERE in pursuit of some quixotic standard of behavior no parent would wish his children to emulate is to reap the whirlwind you so richly deserve when you sow a dysfunctional and abusive management policy on old or new contributors.

For the most part I consider my time on Free Republic to be well spent, but occasionally I must question my sanity when I witness Conduct Unbecoming A Freeper encouraged and sanctioned by people who should know better.

It is my fervent wish the Chairman and his Board of Directors find better ways to advance the cause of Conservatism than to body slam everyone who fails to understand every nuance of Free Republic Culture.

Best regards,

Humbly (and in very plain, very small print, as befits the lowliness of my meager intellect and commentary) I apologize for all the slights and misdemeanors that I and any with whom I associate may have committed, whether they be real or imagined, grievous or slight, formal or indecorous, against any of the blogpimps or fans thereof who use the gratis forum of FreeRepublic and the good offices of its contributors to market their wares and enhance the conservative movement by aggrandizing personal wealth.

This puerile behavior will cease and desist forthwith.

At least until I get up from my timeout and nap.

I appreciate that you love bold Italians.

Still, you just don’t get it, do you.

Let me explain it slowly.

If I start a blog called “Wall Street Journal Pundit,” or Drudge Pundit,” or “Rush Limbaugh Pundit,” and then post an entry, and tease it on FR, and then name the link “Wall Street Journal” or “Drudge” or “Rush Limbaugh” but then lead folks to wsjpblog.com, or dpblog.com, or rlblog.com, that is intentionally misleading (and stealing).

Got it now?

Sheesh.

Onward, bold Italians!

Oh, btw, the misleading links (that used to say “Hot Air” but didn’t lead to Hot Air) have been since fixed, so the theft no longer appears as such. IE, the stolen property has been replaced and the crime scene cleaned up. Thus, your links don’t show what you intended. Next time, I’ll get a screen shot for you.
