“This is war!” claims Phoenix student Aldemar Cruz. “Republicans may have stopped the DREAM Act, but they won’t prevent La Reconquista from happening. “White people, watch out!”
Olivia Perez, an undocumented student who claims she was forced to fill out false paperwork in order to stay in the United States, says, “Latinos need to fight back. We need to march. We need to scream. If necessary, we need to riot. We need to do everything Blacks did to get their civil rights!”
The DREAM Act would have provided amnesty for many children of undocumented immigrants who had no choice in their arrival to the United States. It would have also provided amnesty to all of their family members who come from lands that were stolen by the United States. But Elena Cruz of the Center for Latino Rights says Latinos need to take a non-violent approach.
"Rioting and any type of violence won't help our cause," Ms. Cruz tells this column. "We need to do our best to show this country how Latinos fit into the American Dream. We lost today, but we will prove ourselves very soon."
This doesn't even make sense. All people that resided in lands that were "stolen" by the US are already citizens and have been since 1848, and therefor do not need amnesty.
I have a better idea. Lets deport them and they can go back to where they belong and fight the cartels.
Not so with the group whom we were informed, prior to today, that they loved America and wanted to be Americans. That's all. "We just want to be honored. Oh please! Please!"
Ah.. but now the truth -- anyone surprised? -- they want it all and they want it now! Screw America. For far too many of them, their loyalties lie elsewhere.

Wow! I went over to the original source page, and the comments are...well, they’d get nuked here at FR. VERY ANGRY and profane people responding to the article’s author; their main message is,”Bring it on” or “Go to your home countries”. Maybe the pro illegals will weigh in later-but not so far!

You're a distinct minority in a nation that is rapidly waking up to the injustice of having foreigners here illegally receiving all kinds of services, including college educations, paid for by the taxes taken from hard working American citizens. We're sick of it and we're sick of ungrateful little twerps like you that dare to make stupid threats to the people who support this country. "La Reconquista" is a fantasy that may make dopey, brainwashed college students of Mexican ancestry feel macho but it is just that, a fantasy. As for a war: you don't want that kid because you'll lose, big-time. Grow up.

Our country is so soft and decadent now it makes me gag. 150 years ago, our country would have stopped the invaders and shown them the door. Now all we care about is HDTV and how our favorite sports team is doing.
