You Are Being Warned! Freezing Temps Worldwide May Lead To Food Shortages

Dr. Willie Soon, astrophysicist and geoscientist at the Solar and Stellar Physics Division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics said, “It’s close to being insane to try to keep insisting these changes in carbon dioxide are going to create all of the disasters that the politicians and doomsayers are trying to tell us. Saying the climate system is completely dominated by how much carbon dioxide we have in the system is crazy—completely wrong. Carbon dioxide is not the major driver for the earth/climate system.” Obviously the sun is the major driver, but then we have other factors like air pollution from human and volcanic sources blocking out more light and thus heat, and now we are also having a breakdown in the Gulf loop current as well as a diminishing of the Gulf Stream. What we have, ladies and gentlemen, is heart-thumping climate change that is going to take a frightening toll on humanity.

Here in Michigan I can’t count on a good crop of tomatoes from one year to the next so I grow more of the things I can count on.

They figured it out by the end of the dark ages in Europe so I see no reason I shouldn’t benefit from their experience.

I remember the winter where my father had to snow mobile from Dc to NYC and rescue myself and some friends trapped in a public library.

It was so cold we were burning books to stay warm while dad had to overnight in a ice covered abandoned Wendy’s.

I believe the Vice president was on the weather channel apologizing for the carbon pollution from the USA while Americans were trying to escape the cold by crossing the Mexican border.

I remember that winter like it was the Day After Tomorrow!!

The media is still ranting that one of the effects of global warming is colder, wetter winters. Yes and building seven at the world trade center collapsed on its footprint from a burning ember? Or was it from a burning Rolls Royce engine that was catapulted from one of the planes. Was there ever a reasonable explanation for what was obviously a controlled demolition?

He may be closer to the truth on Global Warming, but this guy looks like an attention-grabbing lunatic.

I think the ruling elite already knew that the Sun was too quiet and that a cooling trend (along with loss of growing season and crops) was coming.

That is why they had the cap and trade to begin with. To take the money away from the peons who won’t survive anyway and give it to the ruling elite so they can better prepare and survive the panic that will hit the public when they find out .

1. Global Warming is Bunk, Total Scam

2. There is an effect on weather patterns (certainly variability) during sunspot minimums and maximums.

3. The UN is ALWAYS wrong about everything. They pretend to understand things to grab power and money. Total Frauds.

4. For 200 years there has been evidence of crop yields (wheat) are tied to sunspot activity.

5. We are just beginning to come out of the longest sunspot minumum in my lifetime.

6. Reduced crop yields and cold weather could affect world grain/food prices. Spot varibilities are going to happen, they always have.

7. Right now, the global Ag companies are taking full advantage of the situation. And with the adoption of PVPA they are contributing to the effect.

8. The Senate passed S.510 FDA Food Safety (Takeover) Bill during the Lame Duck Session. It was passed by the Senate because someone convinced them that Al-Quida intends to poison our food supply. They probably do plan that, but the dummies in DC have devised a solution that will in my opinion add 25-50 percent to the cost of food in the U.S. More paperwork, more reporting, more government control. What they need to encourage is local production. We are exposed to such attacks by produce we must import from the tropical climates and cannot be produced in the U.S.

But as they say:

“Chicken Little the Sky is not really Falling.”

You underestimate the power of Chicken Little to turn some reduced crop yield into a world-wide disaster, for personal benefit.

On to practical things. Here is a good link to bookmark, and refer to at intervals, of the prices of common commodities, like wheat, corn, sugar, coffee, and cocoa. The little variable graph at the top is great, because you can see how the prices of these things have individually tracked over the course of the last month or last year.

http://money.cnn.com/data/commodities/

Since the prices are all going up, it shows that inflation is on the way, especially for weather dependent things like food crops. Eventually these price increases will have to show up in the grocery stores.

And if you see them coming, you can buy ahead.

Importantly, what they can’t show you are shortages. If these happen naturally, they will be factored in.

But if they happen because of speculation, there will be little warning. That is, suddenly prices will double or triple, at the same time there are overnight shortages in the stores.

This is the difference between inflation and hyperinflation.

We are going about this all wrong.

I propose the Free Republic anti-pollution council. Our mission is to reduce pollution on the planet by 1) going after the biggest polluters on the planet and 2) bringing cleaner energy to the planet.

This will be done by fining the biggest polluters on the planet by imposing a 1000% tax on all imports by nations deemed to be the top polluters.

This means the Saudis, Venezuela, China, India, Russia, Mexico, and other countries that throw the most pollution into the environment.

There will be no credits and only countries that convert to clean energy within five years, regardless of type are exempt.

Now, let’s get those clean coal, oil and gas extraction companies going, open up our land to drilling, defund the EPA and sue every environmental group that tries to stop us.

And another benefit will be with some of the profits, desalinization plants will be built in Africa with infrastructure so that crops can be grown and people could drink clean water. That would open up new economies and people will arise from poverty without the US handing money to the UN to pay off dictators.

With crops being grown throughout Africa, Carbon Dioxide can be converted to Oxygen by plant life which according to the left will fix global warming.

Win win and paid for by China. Now that’s poetic justice.

My friend of years has been going to his family wheat farm in Canada for forty years and said he has never seen the weather like it has been getting in the last three years. Cold and wet. The farmers are geowing what they can and are barely getting a harvest in. My friend has always said we had better hope we are having global warming and not cooling because crops don’t grow when it is too cold...especially wheat.

My solution to the Michigan tomato growing season variant is to grow twice what I need each year and can a hundred quarts.
That way I always have enough to last though a bad year or two. Some times I don't get everything quite right, this year I ran out of Habenaro puree.

1. Global Warming is Bunk, Total Scam.

***
Well, as they say on college campuses, “Green is the new red”.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

2. There is an effect on weather patterns (certainly variability) during sunspot minimums and maximums.

***
Not to forget the oceans which store solar warmth for LONG periods of time and slowly release it. But hey, to an eco-warrior, facts mean nothing....only the “greater good”. In their world, whales, vulture eggs, trees and the Peruvian skunk have more value than an unborn child.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

3. The UN is ALWAYS wrong about everything. They pretend to understand things to grab power and money. Total Frauds.

***
You make it sound like it’s a bad thing? Just think of the UN as the “global Music Man”. People who couldn’t hack it in the real world muttle their way into the paper-pushing cocktail-circuit. So long as the US foots the bill it’s party time!!!

United Nations: Can’t win a war, can’t save a child, can’t defeat a dictator, but can always find the courage to berate Isreal and the US.

Remember in high school (or college) of the kids who were “smart-stupid”? Yeah, the kids (often from families of money or “intellect”) who thought everthing was solvable by committees and consensus? Where “leadership” was considered “too aggressive”. Yeah, those pukes. Well, they’re our professors, DC beaurocrats and UN brandy sniffers. When the crap hits the fan, they’re the first to come knocking the US for help.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

4. For 200 years there has been evidence of crop yields (wheat) are tied to sunspot activity.

***
What gets me is that biotech firms have genetically modified crops (GMC) which can open up new lands for agriculture. These GMC are resistant to disease, pests and harsh climates, but the UN is trying to ban such crops becasue (a) their wonks don’t like the idea of the natives being self suffucient, (b) eco-freeks don’t approve or (c) they didn’t get their “cut”.

In one central African country, the agricultural minister told the UN to go #@$* themselves. She was getting tired of a bunch of “old, white, European men, telling her country what they can and can not eat.”

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

5. We are just beginning to come out of the longest sunspot minumum in my lifetime.

***
UN Response: “blah, blah, blah....these facts are making my head hurt. It’s better just to pass treaties and increase our power.”

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

6. Reduced crop yields and cold weather could affect world grain/food prices. Spot varibilities are going to happen, they always have.

***
See my answer to question #5

Your facts are making me late for my latte conference in Zurich.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

7. Right now, the global Ag companies are taking full advantage of the situation. And with the adoption of PVPA they are contributing to the effect.

***
Not to mention “bio-termination seeds”.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

***
UN response: Localism is so uncool. If people became more independent, they wouldn’t need us anymore. Hey, we beaurocrats are old, fat, lazy and couldn’t get a real job in the real world. Cut us some slack. I have to pay for my house in Switzerland and for that new Jaguar in the garage. Working as a Joe-six-pack-putz ain’t for me.

And you know what? Cheap immigrant labor at my plantation is getting expensive so I got to skim off the top so as to pay for my force labor.....errrr...ehhhh.......I mean, “domestic help”.

(sarcasm)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
